2004 Ch�teau Haut-Bages-Lib�ral, Cru Class� Pauillac
Good deep colour in the glass, this reveals sweet red berry aromas with cassis and blackberry discernible on the palate. Quite mouth-filling with very good balance and harmony, this is an expressive style with tell-tale gravely pauillac nuances on the finish. The wine shows a velvety sense of charm with a lush Merlot component on the mid-palate. Very good indeed.

2005 Puligny-Montrachet, Louis Carillon
Jacques (Carillon) used 15% new oak for his 'village' Puligny, a cuv�e that is produced from vines with an average age of 35 years. This has an attractive, citrussy nose with a scent of grapefruit to the fore. The palate is ripe and round with subtle flavours of exotic fruits and a creamy note. Pure and harmonious.
