1. Do my qualifications expire?
Yes, qualifications will expire 1 year after they are achieved.
2. If I fail an exam, when can I take the exam again?
If you do not pass, you can retake the exam after the following times:
- 1st retake 2 days
- 2nd retake 14 days
- 3rd retake 30 days
3. What is the passing score for the exams?
To pass the exam, you must achieve an overall score of 75% or higher.
4. For questions where you select multiple answers, is there partial credit?
Yes. Each correct answer you select awards you points. For example, if a question has two correct answers, you receive 0.5 points if only one correct answer is selected.
5. Are the qualification exams open web?
Google Cloud Platform qualification exams are no longer open web. You may not take anything with you in the exams - either paper based or online. Also, you may not communicate with anyone during the exams - either online, spoken or other form of communications.
6. Are all exam questions equally weighted?
Yes. All exam questions are assigned the same point value.
7. Am I penalized if I answer a question incorrectly?
No. You receive 0 points for each question you leave blank or answer incorrectly.
8. How long am I able to access the electronic course materials?
You are allowed access to the materials used in a training course you completed for 6 months after the course start date.
9. Do I have to take a training course to pass the exams?
No. If you have considerable practical experience and do your own preparation, you may take the exams without attending a formal training course. However, taking a course is strongly recommended.
10. What should I expect the first time I take an exam?
To take the exams, you must have a Windows or Mac OS based computer with a webcam or external camera. You will need to install an application (Sentinel) on your computer in order to take the exams . This application locks down the computer during the exam. Upon starting the exam, you will need to prove your identity with photo-based identification.
