Protolab Oy has announced the delivery of the first Protolab 6x6 Protected Multi-Purpose Vehicles (PMPV) to the Finnish Defence Forces (FDF). Protolab is delivering four PMPVs to the FDF under a contract signed in 2018. The vehicles are being put through operational testing by the FDF as part of a wider modernisation programme to upgrade and enhance its armoured vehicle fleet.

WISENT 2 is one of the world’s most advanced multi-functional armoured support vehicles (ASVs), which can be used as an armoured recovery vehicle (ARV) or an armoured engineer vehicle (AEV). 

Specialist in design and production of high-specification armoured vehicles and survivability systems, Jankel, has announced the achievement of ‘production ready’ status for their latest generation HUNTER Tactical Intervention Vehicle (TIV) in preparation for the imminent manufacture of another major order from an undisclosed customer in the Asia Pacific region.

High-performance brake system design, development and manufacturing company, Alcon Components, will be attending the IDEX exhibition taking place in Abu Dhabi, 17th to 21st February 2018. Of particular note, you can see Alcon brake products fitted to eight different vehicles on display at the show, including vehicles from OEM’s based in UAE, Finland, North America, UK and Turkey.

Jankel Tactical Systems has been awarded contracts to supply armored Chevrolet Suburbans and Toyota Land Cruisers to the US Marshals Service and the US Customs and Border Patrol. This announcement coincides with the US SHOT Show, taking place in Las Vegas 22nd-25th January 2019.

Chelyabinsk Tractor Plant, part of UralVagonZavod Group belonging to Rostec State Corporation, has developed a mine roller to be installed to the ‘ironclads’ - models B10M2S and B12S of armoured tractors. Tractors with a mine roller are more manoeuvrable than mine-clearing tanks and have a longer service life, which makes them optimal for humanitarian demining. 

The Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) connectivity company, Real-Time Innovations (RTI), has announced that Plasan, has selected RTI Connext DDS as the connectivity framework for its smart armoured vehicles. Plasan is currently expanding its fleet of over 32,000 vehicles around the world.

On 26th November 2018, at Mina Al Arab, Ras al Khaimah the STREIT Group Chairman, Guerman Goutorov welcomed honoured guests, His Highness Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Member of the UAE Supreme Council, International members of the Ministry of Defence, Ministry of Interior, Ambassadors and valued customer from across the world to join STREIT in the celebration of ‘Saving Lives for 25 Years’.

  Alcon Components has been selected to be the principal supplier of braking components for Patria’s heavy armoured vehicle range. Patria is in the production of modern armoured wheeled 8x8 vehicles, supplying seven different customer nations. 

Jankel is launching an new addition to their FOX range of tactical vehicles. Having partnered with NSV and MDT, Jankel are now able to offer 6x6 variants of their Toyota-based FOX vehicles. The new FOX variants utilise the Multi-drive 6x6 technology, originally developed in Australia and built by NSV. This launch coincides with the Defence Vehicle Dynamics (DVD) event taking place on 19th and 20th September 2018 at Millbrook, where Jankel will be exhibiting their capabilities on stand number OR-12.
