Aladin Bensassi

I started, 40 years ago, as a school boy and it was a whole 6 years before I earned any money doing it.

I've been at it for ten years and I already feel too old! How did you make it this far!

Well I like feeling of how ppl think I am some kinda magician who talks to the computer in a weird language of commands, the fact that it makes me think deeper and how some u feel when u develop something cool and the feeling when your code finally works

Haha, that is truly cool!

It was never about money for me, although I do need to eat. The ability/freedom to work from anywhere (so I can still be a musician), curiosity, and the desire to learn is what motivated me to look into becoming a developer.

Freedom, curiosity, and music! What else is there to life?

I dropped out of Pre-Med and needed a new major. They had a CS degree program and I already was programming in BASIC and C++ so I figured it'd be an easy ride. Yeah the degree was the easy part, actually working as a dev??? Well you know...

I just hope you made the right choice!

the ability to one day work remotely and/or freelance, being a woman in a male dominated field, wanting to see how my people skills would play in a tech field

Best of luck with that!
