    And I highly doubt it’s just pairing. So often I see the urge to *either* fall back on “rules”, or have “no rules” at all. The middle ground seems incredibly difficult to convey.

    So I get working evenings & weekends is bad most of the time for most people. But what if *I* truly love what I'm working on & I actually find it relaxing? What if it brings me joy? Please explain to me why I must stop. What if someone makes $ for my work but my income is fixed?

    the stories of web users section is also gr8, reinforces the fact that accessibility is primarily usability and you have to understand how your users use your product to do it effectively

    Gong, "The Universe Also Collapses". Slightly belated review submission is happening. What a pleasure it has been to write about this one. Their best since their 70s heyday? You betcha. A record that has a similar effect to drinking a Pan Galactic Gargle Blaster.

    If you want a hacky Dark Mode for websites that don't have their own one, this is brilliant: 1. Open Web Inspector 2. Click the <body> element 3. Add the following to its CSS: "filter: invert(95%) hue-rotate(190deg)". Thanks to

    Imagine if we took the "architecture" metaphor seriously. Imagine if we saw ourselves as Zaha Hadid, Gerrit Rietveld, or Frank Gehry? Software architecture can have function AND form. It can have soul and services. All we lack is the ambition.
