The various organizers sometimes only do live for their own company, sometimes they record and share privately or publicly, sometimes via podcasts, sometimes on youtube or vimeo. I don't track them, but you can find many via google or youtube searches.

Interesting. We talk about product managers defining the problem and the business objectives. And a lot of engineers are actually frustrated with that and say “just tell us what you want us to build.” You’re saying the empowered engineer is the missing mass.

You can have some 'let me build' engineers, but empowered engineers have been at the heart of the best outcomes I've seen. They bring different insights, not just the art of the possible. They need nurturing.

Very related to my recent article. My advice is to start by measuring outcomes of their feature work.https://productstride.substack.com/p/measuring-outcomes?r=35047&utm_campaign=post&utm_medium=web&utm_source=twitter …

You make a great point about bringing engineer's into the conversation earlier in the process. I've often found that an empowered engineer is one of your best sources for input. Also an opportunity for them to take more ownership and accountability for the project.

Totally d'accord, just one quibble. When I think of engineering-driven companies, I think of devs hunting perfect code, do rewrites often, building what's technically possible and not what's useful, stay in their technical bubble and never talk to customers.
