Release Date Delivery

When you pre-order eligible items before the cut-off date to an eligible location, we will send your order with the intention that the estimated delivery date is on the item's release date.

• Is Release Date Delivery available on all items?

  Release Date Delivery is only available for certain items and to selected locations within Australia.

• What items get Release Date Delivery?

  Release Date Delivery is available on items if the delivery date on the item's page is the same date as the release date.

  Items that don't display the same date for delivery as the release date are not eligible.

• How do I know if a product is eligible for Release Date Delivery to my delivery address?

  Amazon can currently deliver new releases on the release date to selected locations within Australia. You will see a message on the product page with an estimated delivery date. Once you add the product to your cart and confirm the delivery address on checkout, you will see a message next to the estimated delivery that says "the date it's released"

• How much will it cost?

  Prime Members purchasing an eligible item for delivery to an eligible address will get free expedited delivery, including on new releases.

  Non-Prime members purchasing an eligible item for delivery to an eligible address can still receive delivery on the release date at an additional shipping cost.

• When will Amazon make Release Date Delivery available to my location?

  We are working hard to make Release Date Delivery available to more locations throughout Australia. Unfortunately, we don't have an estimated date for this yet.

• If I am not in an eligible location, can I pay for express delivery?

  There may be additional delivery options to get Release Date Delivery to some non-eligible locations at checkout.

• Can I pick up from a Hub to get my item on release date?

  Amazon Hub Lockers and Counter pick up locations are not available for items on Release Date Delivery.

• What is Amazon’s pre-order price guarantee?

  If you pre-order an item and the Amazon.com.au price decreases between your order time and the end of the date of the release date, you'll receive the lowest price. See here for more information.

• Things you should know about payments

  We take payments when we ship your items. If you're pre-ordering ahead, it's worth checking your expiry date to make sure your card will be valid when we're shipping your item.

• What if the release date changes?

  We'll notify you of this change by e-mail. You'll still be eligible to get it on the new release date.

• What's the status of my order and delivery?

  Tracking information isn't always available from carriers online for Release-Date Delivery. To see available tracking details and the estimated delivery date for your order, go to Track Your Package.

  If the release date has passed and your order hasn’t arrived, you can track your order from Your Orders on Amazon.com.au. You can find out more information about your package here

• Can I change the delivery address on my order?

  You can change the delivery address for an order until it ships. This could mean that the new address will be ineligible for Release Date Delivery and you won't receive it on release date. Once your order has shipped, you can find tracking information in your order details.
