I bought this book for professional and educational purposes, and I could not be happier. I would strongly recommend this book for those who want to know more on how to respond to ransomware, but most of all, for its simplicity. There are a lot of books out there without the reader in mind, but it is not the case for this one. I have been following Group-IB for quite some time, and their work is always clear, easy to read, and detailed. Excellent value for the money. Much appreciated the chapter about the unified kill chain and the ransomware kill chain.

I returned this book- I had high hopes for the content, as it's a topic that interests me. However, in one of the code samples, the author made the highly questionable choice to include an offensive homophobic slur. This was not only uncalled for, but incredibly unprofessional. I can only hope that an actual editor looked at the print version and had this removed.
