Amazon.com Shop with Points Program for HSBC Rewards
By participating in the Amazon.com Shop with Points program (“SWP”) using HSBC Rewards Points or HSBC Cash Rewards (“HSBC Rewards”), you agree to these Terms and Conditions, the Amazon.com Conditions of Use and the HSBC Rewards Program Rules (linked at the end of this terms and conditions). Please review them carefully, together with the Amazon.com Privacy Notice, to understand Amazon.com’s practices and the rules applicable to your HSBC Rewards Account.
To use your HSBC Rewards to purchase eligible items at Amazon.com (the “Amazon Site”), your eligible HSBC credit card account that earns HSBC Rewards (“HSBC Card” and its associated HSBC Rewards account, the “HSBC Rewards Account”) must be linked to your Amazon Site account through the SWP enrollment process. Amazon and/or HSBC reserves the right to restrict your use of SWP or to un-enroll your HSBC Rewards Account by de-linking it from your Amazon Site account at any time in Amazon or HSBC’s sole discretion, including when misuse or fraud is suspected.
You agree that Amazon.com Services LLC and its affiliates (collectively, “Amazon”) may share with HSBC, its affiliates and/or service providers (collectively, “HSBC”) certain information that you have provided or will provide to Amazon, in each case for the limited purposes of validating your eligibility to participate in SWP, linking your Amazon Site account to your HSBC Rewards Account, and/or, once enrolled, facilitating your participation in SWP through redemption of your HSBC Rewards, including processing payments for purchases on the Amazon Site made with HSBC Rewards. You further agree that HSBC may share with Amazon certain information that you have provided or will provide to HSBC and/or information regarding your HSBC Rewards balance, in each case for the limited purposes of validating your eligibility to participate in SWP and processing any purchases you choose to make by redeeming your HSBC Rewards. Neither Amazon nor HSBC will use information provided to it by the other party in support of SWP for any purpose other than as expressly set forth in this paragraph.
Certain products listed on the Amazon Site are not eligible for purchase using HSBC Rewards, and these items may change at any time. For a list of ineligible products, please see the Shop with Points help page. Following enrollment in SWP, during the checkout process for purchases of eligible items on the Amazon Site, you will be presented with the number of your available HSBC Rewards and the total value of such points that you can apply towards the total cost (including taxes and shipping, as applicable) of the items being purchased. The redemption value of HSBC Rewards through SWP is subject to change from time to time at the discretion of HSBC, subject to the terms and conditions of your HSBC Rewards Account and applicable law. Your available HSBC Rewards may be used to pay for all or a portion of your eligible purchases on the Amazon Site. If you pay for only a portion of an eligible purchase using HSBC Rewards, then the balance must be paid using your HSBC Card. Typically, your HSBC Rewards balance will be reduced at the time of your order to reflect the amount of your purchase, but in some cases, your HSBC Rewards balance may not reflect your use of HSBC Rewards for pending purchase transactions until the purchase has shipped or has otherwise been fulfilled. It is your responsibility to ensure that you have enough HSBC Rewards in your HSBC Rewards Account at the time that your HSBC Rewards are ultimately redeemed. If you do not have enough HSBC Rewards remaining in your HSBC Rewards Account at the time they are to be redeemed, you can still complete the purchase by paying the difference with your HSBC Card. There is no fee to redeem your HSBC Rewards on the Amazon Site. HSBC Rewards may not be combined with points from other rewards programs to make purchases using SWP.
Returns are subject to Amazon’s returns policy. If any of the products related to your original order are returned, subject to Amazon’s refund policy, you will receive a refund of the amount charged to your card first, followed by HSBC Rewards points. If a refund of your HSBC Rewards points cannot be processed by HSBC for reasons including but not limited to (a) closure of your card account, (b) closure of your rewards account, or (c) conversion of your rewards to a non-reward account, Amazon will issue an Amazon Gift Card to you for an amount equal to the value of the HSBC Rewards points used towards your purchase.
If your eligible HSBC Rewards Account is linked to an Amazon Site account that is not your own (such as an additional cardholder), or you allow others to access your Amazon Site account where you have linked a HSBC Rewards Account, your HSBC Rewards balance and associated total redemption value will be displayed and available for their use.

WASTE OF TIME TRYING TO GET AN STRAIGHT ANSWER TO A SIMPLE PROBLEM FROM CUSTOMER SERVICE
I have been a very long time member of Amazon using Points and using my HSBC Premier the only credit card I ever have used when buying from Amazon US/UK/JPN. My previous HSBC card was hacked so I immediately closed it and applied for a new one. I tried to link it to Amazon Points 15 times and get the same pop up message everytime with no explnation as why a red flag.I live in Taiwan and we do not have 5 digits zip codes only 3 as my image indicates. I have spent over 1 week with customer service chat trying to get a straight answer and none of the customer service reps have a clue. Some keep me waiting so long that the chat either shuts down or another customer service rep gets on and I need to repeat the entire story over again. I now just copy and paste the chat if they ask me how they can help to save time. Some blame HSBC when they have no other answer so the why have HSBC as one of the banks that connect with points? Others tell me to call Amazon which is no problem but when you go to the call the drop down menu does not list Taiwan country code which is +886 so how can a person call? Then others advise to stay on the chat and I will receive a call within 2-3 minutes which is more like 2-3 hours if I were stupid enough to wait while others send me an e-mail that someone will call me back in 6 hours which never happens. So at this point I give up with customer service and take it to a much higher level once I find out their name and contact. I have copied every useless chat and useless email including this one as I know it will most likely will never be posted. Pity as at one time in the Jeff Bezos days customers matter those days are over and Amazon is no longer customer-centric as they say they are.
