This is my favorite purchase and for myself this year! I was using the fire tablet previously to read but found out I could not see it in the sun. I love that I can read in both direct sun and darkness! It is the perfect size and super lightweight so I can toss it in any bag and take it everywhere.( So much easier than carrying an entire book series with you!) I love how long it holds a single charge (almost 2 weeks, reading every day) and it never lags turning pages. The cost is well worth it between kindle unlimited and the difference in price between a kindle download and physical book I have saved a ton of money. If you are an avid reader you need a kindle!!

    Perfect for reading books. It's a far better experience than trying to read from just a phone or tablet. The battery lasts for a considerable amount of time. My only complaint is the touch screen can confuse taps/swipes sometimes and turn the page in the wrong direction. Doesn't happen too often but it can be frustrating. I was able to upload EPUB files without issue and they work great. Good quality product at a great price.

    Bought for our 8yo who is a great reader. She loves it! I'm impressed by the display and the battery life. No idea how they do it, but it is amazing. She carries it everywhere and it has survived, which is also amazing. Adding books through the Parent Portal isn't exactly easy. Sometimes, we just click, add book, and boom. Other times we can see the request, but click buy and then takes us back and shows the request still there. Then we get into this endless loop of trying to add the book and eventually it adds.
    The only issue I have with this, is it will add books that neither us parents or our daughter requested. We don't get billed, and it doesn't show that anyone purchased it, it just shows up on the Kindle one day. Then after a few weeks, or so, it's gone again. Then another new book shows up. No idea how or why this is happening.
