I will remember this book for my whole life. I cried, I laughed, and I reflected. it is so beautiful to know that women and Fems are so widely different and similar in their journey. I am so thankful for Drew and her courage and her story. I will be telling all my nieces and nephews this is a must read when they start to grow.

Though she’s only been around for a short while, she’s the definition of making the right person famous. “When she first started creating content in 2020, she realized that men on Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, and other apps were creating sexist content aimed at disparaging women, and also containing rampant fatphobia, racism, and other forms of bigotry, with very real-life consequences.” When I started watching Drew on TikTok a few years ago, I quickly grew to love her humour, her strong sense of self and her dedication to hyping up women. She is so unapologetically herself. When I heard she was coming out with a memoir, i was a little concerned because how much could she really have to say? It turns out, everything and all the right things.

Drew's ability to deconstruct and challenge patriarchal views is unparalleled. Her ideas are clear, cohesive, and easily understandable, so it baffles me when people claim they don't get her point. Were they even listening? I also admire her perspective on female friendships. Recently, I've had discussions with friends about how some men don't understand why women share everything with their girlfriends. In the end, investing in non-romantic relationships is crucial, and having a strong circle of female friends is non-negotiable. Be a girls girl

I listened to this in tandem with reading the book. Drew has always had a way of speaking and storytelling on tiktok and podcasts, and the authenticity in this book is no different. I was very engaged throughout and served as an amazing way to pass the time on my 14.5 hour flight that I was not built for (Translator's note: I'm impatient). I would recommend this read to absolutely anyone. The life experience and unique lived experience accompanied by her values throughout serve as an insightful read for all.
