This book was delightful! I literally found myself laughing throughout the entire book. The love story was sweet and refreshing. so nice to see it portrayed in a realistic light, and that goofy and awkward people can find hot romance too. Highly recommend. Fabulous characters and wonderful narration.

I loved the book it was a feel-good book all around. The part about the nightmare bars made me laugh my head off. It was good to see the main character Heidi develop and grow, starting over and all that comes with it. The book has a raw realness to it about relationships and the awkward insecurities we have all experienced as some point. I especially liked the fact that the main character Heidi was the one who identified her own insecurities, and she took the steps to fix it. It wasn’t like the classic romance storylines where woman is insecure about herself and then she meets the man, and he gives her the confidence yadi, yadi, ya, basically the man takes the credit. I thoroughly enjoyed Heidi’s transformation and the characters along the way that provided comical and real insight about relationships and human behaviour. Good character development every character played a role and wasn’t weirdly place just for the sake of it. Definitely a good read. The performers did a great job capturing the essence of the characters and bringing them alive off the pages. I have never been to Waconia, Minnesota, but if the people are anything like the characters in the book, I may want to visit there some day.
