I have grown fond of Molly Harper's mix of small town charm, and southern quirkiness! This book was no exception! Harper's attention to certain details, and loving development of her characters: right down to their weird idiosyncrasies, makes her stories so much fun to read! No spoilers, but this was one of the more creative shifter romances I've ever read! The love scenes were very different, and not in a bad way!

The voice performances were good, although I've yet to listen to a Molly Harper book, that wasn't narrated by Amanda Ronconi, so I'm not sure how I'd respond to anyone else! Anyhow this was a good read/listen! I definitely recommend it!

first I must say the title of the book actually steals from this book. Well it's no secret the main male lead is a dragon the way that the book hints at it and the female lead is left to discover it, could have been a lot better if the title didn't tell you he was a dragon. Its a fun playful little piece. There's a couple of little audio issues at the beginning a few times where the narrator voice for the characters slip up at touch but nothing that would ruin from enjoying this entire story. I actually enjoyed this a lot more than I thought I would and I look forward to the next one.

Its a story with no consent concerns or sexual attacks or domestic abuse.

there are some golden moment and the characters are great this book gets better with a second read.

I like that they're still secrets in this romance and that even by the end we have not been given all the background to these dragons in their ways.

I wasn't expecting such a funny and intriguing story! All the characters are loveable and deeply layered, the twists are unexpected and Mystic Bayou is painted as a place you can't help but want to move to! I honestly can't wait to read more and am thankful for all the other books.

Molly Harper's books have become formulaic, but this one was much less so. The female character didnt even consider sacrificing her career. The male lead eas in the usual trope of cranky rude sexy guy, but he at least put his heart on his sleeve. So all in all a lot better.

This was a fun, lighthearted audio escape. The book’s title is regrettable but the writing and creative detail made for nine hours of entertainment. The narrators were outstanding and it was their delivery that made the book sing.

Having read all this author’s Jane Jameson series and Half Moon Hallow series, i find this is the weakest story i’ve read so far, by Molly Harper. It doesn’t have the depth of the other works. It has interesting characters, plenty of potential, and is fun to listen too though. I would like more stories from Mystic Bayou. This one just seemed light and a bit quick.

If you like this story and are new to Molly Harper, you will really get your money’s worth if check out her other series.
