I enjoyed this second book, especially as it went beyond the Glassmakers and into other parts of the planet. It barely scratched the surface of what could have been, honestly. Just as we learn more about the Glassmakers it seems to be over. The characters from earth made me truly annoyed and I felt like that must be due to good writing! I would have enjoyed it a lot if the book explored more about the planet and less about how people from earth are reacting to its reality. I enjoyed this but definitely wished to hear more about the corals and beyond. Hoping there are more books!

I'd enjoy the story much more if it was about a band of plucky pioneers facing enormous odds, working together and struggling despite incredible challenges.

Instead this is a story about apparently some of the worst people imaginable facing enormous odds and making things worse with stupid backbiting and failure to communicate. Worse yet they're supposedly bringing some of the best ideals and ideas from earth yet they still devolve within a generation.

Still listening but it's honestly kind of disappointing.

Je l’avais écouté en français il y a quelques années mais il est vraiment meilleur en anglais. Les deux narrateurs se complètent très bien et on plonge directement dans l’histoire. Un chef d’œuvre de SF! Je recommande fortement à tous ceux qui aiment les aventures sur d’autres planètes!
