The character of Knox sounded like Sam Elliott. I love him, but had difficulty picturing Knox as a man in his early 40s as a result. Apparently, the same narrator voice his brother's character, Nash n the sequel, which makes it a bit of a challenge to learn that it's not Knox who is talking in "Things we Hide from the Light".

3.5⭐️ Enjoyable, but I felt this was an overhyped book that didn't quite live up to what I was expecting going in. There was a good plot and character development but I don't feel hooked enough to read/listen to the rest of the Knockemout series.

Some nice plot twists and unexpected elements throughout. I like it when there is a collection of characters to meet and for the leads to interact with for us to get to know them through.
I don’t like the male narrator (never have) and it was grating to listen to him. He’s so angry and gruff sounding with all his reads, regardless of the actual character (it fit this time, but I can’t unhear how much I’ve overheard his voice). I much preferred the female making the voices instead. Lol. Hopefully audible starts employing more male voices or maybe it’s just my algorithm that gives me York over and over again?!
I haven’t looked yet but I would think there are more books in this series and having met the characters, I’m invested now and will give those books a listen, too.

This book by Lucy Score is so good I read the ebook and listened to the audiobook! Great story and narration! The chemistry between the MCs was palpable and hot! Can’t wait to read the rest of the Knockemout series!! Totally worth your credit!
