What a joy to read The Good Vampire’s Guide to Blood and Boyfriends! I’ve been in the longest reading/audiobook slump lately, and this gem pulled me right out of it. It’s exactly what the cover promises: Heartstopper meets Buffy the Vampire Slayer, but in a voice all its own.

Jamie D’Amato keeps the vampire lore simple (in the best way) without overcomplicating everything, and yet the world feels real and rich. Brennan is so likable—relatable even—and Cole is just so sweet. If you need a vampire fix (especially in the mood for spooky season), this is the one. Thank you, Jamie D’Amato—you made me smile when I needed it most. Now excuse me while I wait for a vampire to find me. 🩸
