The best books are those that stay with you, that have so many underlying messages that after you read it, you are still thinking about them and finding answers only Google can answer. This book is a small story about a woman that is being kept in a room with a yellow wallpaper she hates. She suffers from post-partum depression and the wallpaper aggravates her mental state. It is set in Victorian times, where women were controlled by her husbands and if they behaved anything outside the norm, were considered hysterical and dismissed. The tragic ending and its symbolism, how it mirrors the lady in the wallpaper, makes for a great ending.

For a forty page book I was surprised at how far I fell into the story. So much descriptive language and very funny. We've all been there with our own Yellow Wallpaper... and the narrator, does an excellent job at bringing this book to life.

Powerful Short Story

A fascinating portrayal of a woman’s descent into psychosis. I liked the feminist narrative, and enjoyed the performance.
