About this listen

First published three years ago before the print edition of Women Who Run with the Wolves made publishing history, this original audio edition quickly became an underground best seller. For it's insights into the inner lives of women, it established Dr. Clarissa Pinkola Estes as one of the most important voices of our time in the fields of Jungian psychology, myth, and women's mysteries.

Drawing from her work as a psychoanalyst and cantadora (keeper of old stories), Dr. Estes uses myths and folktales to illustrate how societies systematically strip away the feminine spirit. Through an exploration into the nature of the wild woman archetype, Dr. Estes helps listeners rediscover and free their own wild nature.

Listening to this book was as grounding as guided meditation. I found it profoundly nurturing and encouraging. Clarissa does not sound like she's reading off the page, but rather tells her stories as one would by a crackling fire in the forest. It's all too bewitching.

This was too short!

A beautiful book. Instructive, entertaining, challenging yet comforting. Dr PE is a masterful storyteller, accomplished scholar and a fountain of feminine wisdom.

Fantastic book. Everyone should read this.

The tales of this story are absolutely amazing. I found her voice slightly melodramatic but the content and analysis brought tears to my eyes and really resonated with my life. Brilliant.

Incredibly uplifting.

Fuels the fire of passion throughout your entire existance. Would love it to be unabridged, to have the whole book on here, which is the only real fault. Clarissa's voice is a pleasure to hear.

EXCELLENT
