The second I saw I was up against this book for Romance of the Year at the Audie Awards, I knew I was cooked. It is one of the best audiobooks I have ever listened to, and absolutely deserved the win. Kennedy Ryan never misses, and the performances by Ines del Castillo and Jakobi Diem are world-class.

This is my favorite Emily Henry book. I have consumed it in all its formats, but the audiobook holds a special place in my heart not only because of Julia Whelan's especially heartfelt narration, but because I listened to it while on vacation in Maine, where it's set, and it was so atmospheric that I felt like I could bump into one of the characters while strolling through the seaside village we stayed in.

I felt all the emotions while listening to this one. I laughed, I cried, I raged, and I begged (the characters to finally kiss each other). Yulin Kuang knows how to write deeply emotional romance with a story that will stick with you forever, and it's only amplified by the stellar performances of Katharine Chin and Andrew Eiden. I've listened to it twice now, and it's one of my go-to recommendations for anyone looking to start their audiobook journey.

This audiobook single-handedly rekindled my historical romance obsession. Kay Eluvian gives a truly inspired performance that had me swooning one moment and cackling the next. Her comedic timing is second to none, and she put so much emotion into the more vulnerable scenes that I wanted to jump into the book and avenge her.

My favorite audiobook of all time. Thandiwe Newton's performance is completely electrifying. It sounds like a cast of 20 narrates this book instead of a single person. The first time I listened to it, I remember pausing a section, rewinding, and then playing it aloud for my husband because I couldn't believe she was able to twist and drop her voice into such a believably ragged masculine tenor. It gave me a new understanding of what human vocal cords are capable of and made me appreciate her even more as an actor.
