The first in the Honor series, Above All, Honor introduces single-minded Secret Service Agent Cameron Roberts and the woman she is sworn to protect - Blair Powell, the daughter of the President of the United States. Cam's duty is her life - and the only thing that keeps her from self-destructing under the unbearable weight of her own deep personal tragedy. However, she hasn't counted on the fact that the beautiful, willful first daughter will do anything in her power to escape the watchful eyes of her protectors, including seducing the agent in charge. Both women struggle with long-hidden secrets and dark passions as they are forced to confront their growing attraction amidst the escalating danger drawing ever closer to Blair. From the dark shadows of rough trade bars in Greenwich Village to the elite galleries of Soho, each must balance duty with desire and, ultimately, choose between love and honor.

Editorial reviews
The first book in Radclyffe's Honor series introduces Blair Powell, the headstrong daughter of the President of the United States who chafes at the Secret Service's constant surveillance. Things change when Cameron Roberts is assigned to watch her, and the two women develop a deep and forbidden attraction to each other, with Cameron caught between her duty and her love. In a forceful yet nuanced performance, Abby Craden conveys Cameron's hardened interior as it begins to melt around the seductive Blair, whose standoffish attitude morphs into something more vulnerable and quivering, her voice capturing the messiness of their illicit desire.

What did you love best about Above All, Honor?
As with every book by Radclyffe, the plot is compelling. What other book might you compare Above All, Honor to and why?
If I HAD to pick another book that I would compare to the "Honor" series, it may be "The Lonely Hearts Club". It's hard to say.Which scene was your favorite?
My favorite scene is when Cam snatches Blair from a club when Blair least expects it.If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
A sacrifice for love.Any additional comments?
Radclyffe is in the top 99% of Lesbian Fiction authors. I look forward to many more books, as well as the books authored by LL Raand.A Legendary Author

i've only heard her in the Honor series, and i like them all. but if i had to choose, probably Blair with Honor a very close second!author

another thing is that the story is actually good and the mystery intreging. but it's detracted by all the raging uncontrollable labido. it just seems that everyone is a represed nympho maniac and it distracts from the quality of the story.
lastly the sex scenes. more so than most butch/femme romances the arousal and sex scenes have a distinct m/f feel. there's a lot of "getting hard". with very little change or imagination you can substitute the butches with men and story would be almost conpletly unaltered.
as far as the narrator is concerned. she's great in all ways but one. she carries the story and she has a pleasant voice and good timing. but her butch sex voice is just disturbing. in fact a lot of the butch angry voice has the same problem. it seriously sounds like someone who is pissed off and constipated.
Typical Radclyffe

This book is also Abby Craden at her finest - the narration brings the book to life and I can’t imagine picking up a physical copy of the booking and enjoying it as much. Buy this book!

This was a quick listen at 6.5 hours and I really did enjoy it, no matter how many times I wanted to strangle Blair. By-the-book, respected Secret Service Commander Cameron Powell has been assigned to protect her and though Cam never allows herself to be anything but the consummate professional, she becomes increasingly drawn to Blair. As the First Daughter constantly outmaneuvers her Secret Service detail to have some semblance of a life - even after discovering she may be in grave danger - Blair and Cam slowly develop feelings for one another, even though it's impossible for them to be together. Lots of longing and frustration in this one, as Blair becomes the object of a stalker's obsession and Cam can only focus on the job at hand.
Enjoyable intro to the Honor Series on audio!
