A mom will do anything to save her kid. Anything.

"The missing boy is 10-year-old Alfie Risby, and to be perfectly honest with you, he's a little shit."

Florence Grimes is a thirty-one-year-old party girl who always takes the easy way out. Single, broke and unfulfilled after the humiliating end to her girl band career, she has only one reason to get out of bed each day: her ten-year-old son Dylan. But then Alfie Risby, her son’s bully and the heir to a vast frozen food empire, mysteriously vanishes during a class trip, and Dylan becomes the prime suspect. Florence, for once, is faced with a task she can’t quit: She’s got to find Alfie and clear her son’s name, or risk losing Dylan forever.

The only problem? Florence has no useful skills, let alone investigative ones, and all the other school moms hate her. Oh, and Florence has a reason to suspect Dylan might not be as innocent as she’d like to believe...

So here’s the thing… The main character is a narcissist. Also, this is not lighthearted and fun as the book cover makes it seem. Rather it is the story of a burnt out former popstar who really hates herself is incredibly self-absorbed, and that caught in the middle of a child’s disappearance. It is like watching a train wreck. Once you start, you can’t stop, but it is in fact a train wreck. There is mild redemption at the end though… Again, I don’t know that it needed to be this long. The main character is so dislikable that I think it overshadows the fact that it is a well crafted story. At the same time I’m like girlfriend you need both Therapy and Jesus. Or Jesus and Therapy. Not sure what order they should come in. Probably Jesus first which will help her get therapy? I don’t know anyway read out your own peril, but it is not light and fun and funny. It is however very gripping and you probably won’t be able to put it down once you start. I actually don’t know if I wanna return this book. I have a lot of mixed feelings and I just lost a whole night asleep trying to figure out what other fire dumpster mess she was about to get herself into.

I still can’t decide if I enjoyed or regret spending 11 hours on this book or however long it was…

I bought the book first and read half of it before I got the audible copy. This book is meant to be listened to. Great performance.

Great listen! Very entertaining

I have over 100 books in my Audible library and this is the worst narration I have ever heard. What is supposed to be a smart and sarcastic narrative is read in an annoying monotone that completely destroyed the book's vibe. Don't judge All the Other Mothers Hate Me by the audiobook, read the the print edition.

Stick with the print edition

I totally thought one thing the entire story and it ended up being another thing. I love it when that happens! Great story and character development!

The narrator was fantastic! The ability to switch between all of the English accents was awesome for the storytelling experience.

Great twist and ending!

I liked it a lot! Easy read, good narration, good story! I wanted to keep listening to see the ending though I did guess the twist, not entirely, and it was still interesting and intriguing. The FMC is funny and likable and I enjoyed it!

Good book!

Perfect narration for a fun story with an absolutely chilling mystery. Florence makes so many bad choices but she’s such an engaging character that you can’t help but love her

Fun story with a chilling mystery

Didn’t love the story but narrator was great! Story was a little long and drawn out

Mystery

I’m an American who grew up in London and I was impressed with accent work (a few mistakes in the American accent like skeletal but none I could detect in the British accents). The book itself was standard-fare mystery with an interesting premise.

Good narration; mediocre book

The narrator was great. The story was good. The writing was fun and sassy. What a great mental health break of a book.

Original, sassy, and funny. Just what I needed

unlikable main character who is annoyingly dumb. Story is predictable. The narrator is great and saves the day. All in all overhyped and disappointing.

I don’t blame them, I hate her too
