Carrie White is no ordinary girl. Carrie White has the gift of telekinesis. To be invited to Prom Night by Tommy Ross is a dream come true for Carrie – the first step towards social acceptance by high school colleagues. "One of the few horror writers who can truly make the flesh creep." ( Sunday Express)

The story’s told from first-person perspective of the characters but is mostly presented like a historical documentary describing the events of “the incident” years later. It includes extracts of books and the transcript of the court case. I am unsure if the story would have been better if told purely from the characters’ point of view. I guess I missed the usual feeling of being able to emphasize and root for one the characters. Overall, it was interesting and may be worth a read, but I wouldn’t listen to it again.
