A new recording of Ray Bradbury’s timeless classic Fahrenheit 451 narrated by Penn Badgley!

Nearly seventy years after its original publication, Ray Bradbury’s internationally acclaimed novel Fahrenheit 451 stands as a classic of world literature set in a bleak, dystopian future. Today its message has grown more relevant than ever before.

Guy Montag is a fireman. His job is to destroy the most illegal of commodities, the printed book, along with the houses in which they are hidden. Montag never questions the destruction and ruin his actions produce, returning each day to his bland life and wife, Mildred, who spends all day with her television “family.” But when he meets an eccentric young neighbor, Clarisse, who introduces him to a past where people didn’t live in fear and to a present where one sees the world through the ideas in books instead of the mindless chatter of television, Montag begins to question everything he has ever known.

Unfortunately this is as meaningful and appropriate today as 75 years ago. Thoughtful and hard to put down.

Amazing this was written almost 75 years ago; prophetic

My headline says it all! I think Ray Bradbury would be VERY pleased with Penn's audio performance of "Fahrenheit 451."
By far my favorite Audible selection thus far.

Penn Badgley is the best Audible narrator EVER!

Awesome short read. Very thought provoking. I loved it! It celebrates the individual. I lost my father years ago and this really reminded me of why I miss him so much.

Celebration of the individual!

Read as a kid maybe 10ish. Forgot chunks of it. Still recommend. Describes technologies and events of today. Sad we match dystopian novels.

Penn Badgley voice and manner of reading was perfect for this book. The book, of course, is amazing. I have read it before but it never fails to amaze me. I am awestruck by Bradbury’s writing.

Excellent reading of a great book

I wish this was a series as I have so many questions and wonders on what happens now? It was a great read that had me think a lot within myself about the way society currently lives. I love how complicated the characters are and even the ones who are evil made me wonder the most about them. I think this is a great depiction of how complicated humans are. As well as how important reading is.
Amazing read! Definitely recommend

Beautiful Book that Shows a Value of a Book

Ray Bradbury has given us a disturbing look at the future, a world where books are burned and great literature and history are suppressed and are forgotten except by a few brave men who hold onto Western civilization.

Outstanding dystopian novel
