Eighteen-year-old Daunis Fontaine has never quite fit in, both in her hometown and on the nearby Ojibwe reservation. She dreams of a fresh start at college, but when family tragedy strikes, Daunis puts her future on hold to look after her fragile mother. A crime thriller with a strong thread of Native American lore (Ojibwe). I loved this book, loved the characters, loved everything about it except the ending. It just felt a little unsatisfying....like the story wasn't finished. I understand why it was that way, but I still wish for more.

Great book....but I wanted more.
