Perfect for fans of Adam Silvera and Becky Albertalli, Mason Deaver's groundbreaking debut will rip your heart out before showing you how to heal from tragedy and celebrate life in the process.

When Ben De Backer comes out to their parents as nonbinary, they're thrown out of their house and forced to move in with their estranged older sister, Hannah, and her husband, Thomas, whom Ben has never even met. Struggling with an anxiety disorder compounded by their parents' rejection, they come out only to Hannah, Thomas, and their therapist and try to keep a low profile in a new school.

But Ben's attempts to survive the last half of senior year unnoticed are thwarted when Nathan Allan, a funny and charismatic student, decides to take Ben under his wing. As Ben and Nathan's friendship grows, their feelings for each other begin to change, and what started as a disastrous turn of events looks like it might just be a chance to start a happier new life.

At turns heartbreaking and joyous, I Wish You All the Best is both a celebration of life, friendship, and love, and a shining example of hope in the face of adversity.

As a queer, transfeminine, non-binary person, I do identify with everything Ben goes through. My life wasn't as tough as theirs, but all the feelings of anxiety twisting up your insides, the fear of rejection, the fear of wondering if people will still want to be your friends, and all that is so relatable. I really wish I could have had this story or the vocabulary to describe myself when I was Ben's age, but I didn't have it until I was much older. Mason tells wonderful stories and I can't wait to see what they do next!

Mason Deaver writes with delicate ease, creating a story about a teenager who is trying to find themselves and who they think they are in this world. Ben De Backer comes out to their parents as nonbinary, they're thrown out of their house and forced to move in with their estranged older sister, Hannah, and her husband, Thomas, whom Ben has never even met. Struggling with an anxiety disorder by their parents' rejection, they come out only to Hannah, Thomas, and their therapist and try to keep a low profile in a new school.

Ben tries to keep everything together but when they feel like their world around them is closing in and he's scared of everyone and how they will react they completely shut down for days and sometimes weeks. Nathan Allan, a funny and charismatic student, decides to take Ben under his wing. As Ben and Nathan's friendship grows, their feelings for each other begin to change, and what started as a disastrous turn of events looks like it might just be a chance to start a happier new life.

I absoutely fell for these characters. I mean I listened to this audiobook in just a few days. Everyday hoping something would happen between them. I can relate to Ben when it comes to the anxiety issues because as you may know I do suffer from serve anxiety and depression. Ben sees a therapist in the book and I thought this was a wonderful and creative idea the author added. Therapy can help in tremendous amounts of ways. Honestly if everyone in the world saw a therapist maybe it wouldn't be so hostile.

What the L.G.B.T.Q.I.A.+ go through when it comes to expressing themselves to non knowledgeable people it's just sad and horrible. For Ben in the story his parents kicked him out without his shoes or phone, money or anything. It's so incredibly wrong and heartbreaking. And I'm sure there have been worst things to happen. Breaks my heart. I just wish the whole world could just love one another and not look at one another as one and one. Just see us all as the humans we all are. Because that's really what everyone is HUMAN...HUMANKIND

A brilliantly written love story for any romantic
