The highly anticipated new Dream Harbor romance from the #1 New York Times bestselling author of The Pumpkin Spice Café!

*This audio edition includes an exclusive Q&A with the author*

‘If you like steamy, small-town romance, then global bestselling author Laurie Gilmore should definitely be your go-to—Fabulous Magazine

Every book in the Dream Harbor series can be enjoyed as a standalone.

As owner of her beloved Gingerbread Bakery, Annie Andrews should have a love life to match her business; sugary and sweet. But instead, she’s locked in a game of words with the irritatingly upbeat bar owner down the street.

Mac Sullivan has everything he wants, except the girl he dreams of. It’s easier to argue with Annie than get her to talk to him but with Jeanie and Logan’s wedding coming up, they're about to spend a lot more time together.

As the snowflakes fall and with romance in the air, will Annie see that the one she loves to hate might just be her perfect match after all?

The Gingerbread Bakery is a cozy romantic novel with an enemies to lovers dynamic, small-town setting and a HEA guaranteed!

Tropes:

  • Enemies to lovers
  • Found family
  • Small Town
  • Forced Proximity

I absolutely adore that it has every single character from all the previous stories and ties everything together gives you answers to questions you didn’t even know you had. I love the descriptive text and messages of fall and Christmas and different seasons that each book provides highly recommend the entire series. I’m excited for the next one.

LOVED, every story is so well written

The Gingerbread Bakery has the small cozy vibes during Christmas. Mac and Annie had 1 perfect month, and then he left. Mac regretted leaving, because he loved her even though she was hated him for leaving. He finally came home for her. I liked Mac, but Annie was very frustrating. She is a Jedi master at holding grudges, and really made him work for her. She wouldn't even let him apologize when he initially came back! I did love the town and the secondary characters. Sebastian York and Savannah Peachwood are perfect as Mac and Annie.

Cute

Loved Mac and Annie's story! Plus the kittens were a nice touch to the story.

First of all, I love this series. I loved this book. Loved the story. Loved Annie & Mac. But you know how it feels when you have a book series on your shelf and the next book releases but it’s not the same height as the others? And the aesthetic is ruined? That’s how I felt with The Gingerbread Bakery. I love Savannah Peachwood and Sebastian York but it felt off with it not being narrated by Regina Reagan. Hopefully when my physical book comes next week it matches the others. And I’m ready for Daisy & Elliot!

Love Dream Harbor

As always love the development of dream harbor the kooky small town with a heart of gold. Annie and Mac are a couple I’ve been waiting to read about.

With the author writing in third person I didn’t feel the duel narration works as well as with others who write in the first person.

Duke narration not needed

I was surprised that I was so unnervingly drawn to keep listening to this obnoxious tale of an on again/off again spiteful relationship! I had to skip over chunks of audio because of the sheer silliness of the woman’s attitude!..not that she didn’t have just cause, but her personality was quite immature!

Enough already!

I’ve listened to all of the Dream Harbor series on audible and the first 4 books were fine. The male narrator in this one sounds like he’s 50-60 years old when Mack is supposed to be early 30’s. Not a fan of the new duel narrator format for this one.

Duel Narrator is lacking

I love this series and thought Annie was better in other books but she was the absolute worst in this one. Even in flashbacks she was rude from the beginning with Mac for no reason. She was definitely stunted in growth because the level of rage she carries as an adult is so over the top compared to his mess up. Sorry for a spoiler but when she slapped him it was so icky- if the genders were switched and he slapped her for the same comment it would be labeled abuse, and it should be here too, or it just shouldn’t have happened. The only thing that carries it is Mac and his love for her (which I just can’t understand, there’s nothing nice about her) and the other characters. Also the spice at the end was good, but took way too long to get there.

Unfortunately not the best in the series
