After a summer spent trying to prevent a catastrophic war among the Greek gods, Percy Jackson finds his seventh-grade school year unnervingly quiet. His biggest problem is dealing with his new friend, Tyson, a six-foot-three, mentally challenged homeless kid who follows Percy everywhere, making it hard for Percy to have any "normal" friends.

"Adventure follows chaotic adventure at a rapid pace, and readers with even a passing acquaintance with the Odyssey will enjoy this fresh use of familiar stories." (School Library Journal)

Featured Article: Percy Jackson—Books vs. Movies

Percy Jackson and the Olympians is an exciting saga about an ordinary boy who discovers his true identity as a demigod. But all is not well in the land of the Olympians. Over the course of the series, Percy gets caught up in many quests and misadventures along with other demigods and some of the most recognizable figures in Greek mythology. How does the son of Poseidon in Rick Riordan's best-selling books compare to how he's portrayed in the popular movies? If you're a Percy Jackson fan, read on to find out!

Rick Riordan's second book in the Olympus series is quite good, but is not as entertaining as the first book. However, much like JK Rowling, his second book seems to be a spring-board for upcoming books in the series: Events that transpire in book 2 will likely be relevant in later books in the series. I look forward to "The Titan's Curse".

you all know how great the book is, but the vocal performance is simply amazing. it's so engaging, and entertaining I feel like I'm watching a movie! I really wish audible would allow Jesse to re do the heros of Olympus, I would re buy the books for that!

Great book, even better reader.

A Good Sequel

The sequel installment may not have been as long as I’ve wanted but it doesn’t lack entertainment. Although the plot was as fast as the chariot races Riordan somehow still managed to build characters on their journey

A rather short but welcomed sequel
