SOON TO BE A NETFLIX ORIGINAL INSTANT NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER
Reminiscent of a classic whodunit, this “pulse-quickening” (Oprah Daily) instant New York Times and USA TODAY bestseller follows a journalist searching for a missing woman on a cruise ship—a woman that everyone else insists doesn’t exist.
Travel magazine writer Lo Blacklock has just been given the assignment of a lifetime: one week on a luxury cruise with only a handful of cabins. The sky is clear, the waters calm, and the elite guests jovial as the exclusive cruise ship, the Aurora, begins her voyage in the picturesque North Sea.
At first, Lo’s voyage is perfect, with a plush cabin, elegant dinner parties, and plenty of relaxation. But as the week wears on, frigid winds whip the deck, gray skies fall, and Lo witnesses what she can only describe as a dark and terrifying nightmare: a woman being thrown overboard. The problem? All passengers remain accounted for—and so, the ship sails on as if nothing has happened, despite Lo’s desperate attempts to convey that something has gone terribly, terribly wrong…
With surprising twists, spine-tingling turns, and a setting that proves as uncomfortably claustrophobic as it is eerily beautiful, Ruth Ware offers up a taut and intense read in The Woman in Cabin 10—proving, once again, her place as “the Agatha Christie of [her] generation” (The Washington Post).

Would you try another book from Ruth Ware and/or Imogen Church?
Probably not, no. The story is mind-numbingly slow for the thriller it claims to be and the main character is unlikeable to the point of irritation.Would you ever listen to anything by Ruth Ware again?
No. I didn't care for this story or the way it was written. For the slow pace the story took, more detail should have been included. Instead all we get is the character complaining about how tired she is.Would you listen to another book narrated by Imogen Church?
Maybe, but I wouldn't seek her out.If this book were a movie would you go see it?
No. The suspense in this story is mainly psychological, and I question how that would translate on screen.Any additional comments?
The last quarter of this book is rather good, which is a shame since the book took SO long to get going. If you're willing to sit through a slow burn, this may be for you. Will leave you as tired as the character is..

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?
No. It takes too long to set up characters and backstory. Very little plot. What was your reaction to the ending? (No spoilers please!)
That was the only part of the book we really enjoyed. Well done. What does Imogen Church bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
She is an excellent narrator - does a wide variety of voices and accents. Excellent performance. If this book were a movie would you go see it?
Yes. Two hours is about the right amount of time to devote to the story. All talk, little action

Any additional comments?
I was so looking forward to this book, I pre-ordered it and everything. It is a huge let down. There's no mystery or thrill, just a bunch of people on a boat … An incredibly intricate expensive sounding boat.Disappointing…
