wish the writing were not so round about and long.. some places it could have been said in a lot lesser words

Even after reading The Assassin's Blade and knowing what was to come I was not ready for this book at all. Throne of glass surpassed my wildest expectations from a fantasy genre. No wonder Sarah J Mass is the queen of world building. The setting of this book mind boggling and captivating. This book has it all from assassins, demons, ghost of a warrior queen and fighting tournaments. The story is detailed and book is lengthy it took me days to finish listening to this book. Even though Celaena is hands down a great female lead but at times I found myself getting annoyed at her thoughts and stubbornness. I am hoping her character develope well over the next books. the narrator has done an excellent job.

I quite enjoyed the story though I don't think I would count it as 1 of my favourites. The story felt a little awkward at some points and didn't always connect.

I enjoyed the narration quite a lot and it met the high standards set by other audiobooks that I have listened to.

Despite me not enjoying the story as much I will continue the series as I like the world built by the author.

Absolutely loved the way the author could transform the listener into the fantasy world is mind blowing. the performance of the the reader is fantastic. Very gripping story, however some of the late chapters were a little dragging.
