Cathy Lepik began her writing career as a sports reporter. After far too many Friday nights and weekends spent on high school sidelines, she took the leap into advertising copywriting. Her television, print, and radio campaigns garnered national and international awards, including The One Show, Clios, Radio Mercury Awards, Effies, and Andys. Now a middle grade author, Cathy hopes to incite curiosity and wonder in young readers by creating grounded stories with a touch of magic. She’s intimately familiar with the middle grade years, having lived through them four times (three times as a mom). She grew up in central Texas but has spent her adult years in the heart of Atlanta, Georgia, where she lives with her husband and quirky rescue pup, Stevie Licks. She is represented by Lori Steel at SteelWorks Literary.
