Dual Licensed

FlexGanttFX is available under two licenses: the GNU Affero General Public License v3 for open source projects, or a commercial license for proprietary and closed-source applications. Pick the one that fits your project.

Open Source License (AGPLv3)

Free of charge for projects that are themselves open source. The full framework is included — there are no feature restrictions and no license keys.

  • Free — no fees, no license key
  • Complete framework, no crippled features
  • Your application must be licensed under the AGPLv3 as well
  • Source code must be made available to your users — including users who only access the application over a network

Commercial License

Required whenever you cannot or do not want to comply with the AGPLv3 — for example in proprietary desktop applications, in-house software, or a commercial SaaS offering.

  • Use in closed-source and proprietary products
  • No copyleft obligations — your source code stays yours
  • In-house, customer-facing, and SaaS deployments
  • Support and bug fixes for licensees
  • Annual maintenance plan with premium support and free updates

Which license do I need?

AGPLv3 is enough if…

  • your application is open source under the AGPLv3
  • you publish the complete source code of your application
  • you are experimenting, evaluating, or building a prototype
  • you use FlexGanttFX in academic teaching or research that is published as open source

You need a commercial license if…

  • your application is closed source or proprietary
  • you ship it to customers or deploy it internally without publishing sources
  • you offer it as a hosted service or SaaS product
  • your company policy does not allow AGPL-licensed dependencies

No license key required. FlexGanttFX no longer uses license keys or trial periods. Add the libraries to your project and start building — by using FlexGanttFX you accept the terms of the license that applies to your use case.
