My biggest complaint is laptops that don’t have Ethernet ports anymore. That you have to have a USB to Ethernet Dongle to get wired Internet on your laptops these days and also find one capable of handling 1 gig plus Internet speeds. If they planned on doing away with Ethernet ports then they should make Ethernet cables with USB connectors rather then RJ45 connectors

Windows isn't the best operating system anymore
I love Garuda Linux. In fact I have a Tri Boot system alongside Windows I have Garuda Linux and Debian 13 Trixie. If only my medical apps had a Linux equivalent I wouldn’t even have Windows. One thing you didn’t mention in this article is Bitlocker. And with Bitlocker enabled it won’t even allow your machine to boot from a USB and the steps needed to disable Bitlocker so you can boot from a USB is a real pain in the you know what

Michal The reason I call it Macintrash is even if the overall cost is lower all of the parts for it is proprietary and cost way more then PC and even if it is lower it’s still more expensive then PC

I have wanted to do this same thing like forever. Unfortunately all my medical apps are only compatible with Windows or Macintrash. If they only would make Linux equivalents I’d say bye bye to Windows as well. I currently have a tri boot system with Debian 13 Trixie and Garuda Linux. I especially love Garuda Linux since it’s Arch based
