SNL Video: KPop Demon Hunters Singers Drop by to Perform ‘Golden’ for Superfan Bad Bunny
Image
The KPop Demon Hunters phenomenon is everywhere these days — even on Saturday Night Live.

The mega-hit Netflix movie was at the center of a sketch in Saturday’s SNL season premiere, with host Bad Bunny playing a man named Thomas who was obsessed with the movie. In fact, he even labeled his brunch companions “stupid dummies” for not being as obsessed as he was. But he was comforted by the fact that “I have Huntr/x on my side,” imagining the band from the movie singing the chart-topping song “Golden,” with the real singers — Ejae, Audrey Nuna and Rei Ami — popping up in his fantasy.

SNL Host Bad Bunny Jokes About Super Bowl Halftime Controversy, Sends a Message to His Fans in Spanish — Watch
Image
Bad Bunny has had a few people talking about him lately, and he wasted no time in tackling that in the Saturday Night Live season premiere.

The Latino music superstar hosted SNL for the second time on Saturday, and in his monologue, he addressed the controversy surrounding his upcoming performance at the Super Bowl halftime show. (Some conservative critics have complained that Bad Bunny doesn’t sing in English and has spoken out against President Trump’s immigration policies.) But Bad Bunny shrugged off the criticism, insisting that “everyone’s happy about” him performing — and proving it with a highly...

Bad Bunny Mocks Fox News for Slamming Super Bowl Gig in ‘SNL’ Monologue: ‘You Have Four Months to Learn’ Spanish
Image
Bad Bunny kicked off Season 51 of “Saturday Night Live” with a bilingual monologue that referenced his upcoming gig as the Super Bowl halftime show headliner — and the right-wing backlash to the announcement.

“I’m very happy,” he said of the opportunity. “And I think everyone is happy about it. Even Fox News.”

“SNL” then played a supercut of clips from the conservative news channel, which has criticized the NFL for booking a Spanish-language artist, calling special attention to Bad Bunny’s recent comments about not playing the United States on his latest tour because of fears relating to his fans encountering Ice.

Trump Interrupts ‘SNL’ Cold Open to Threaten Show Not to ‘Do Anything Too Mean’ or He’ll Have FCC Attack: ‘Daddy’s Watching’
Image
Colin Jost portrayed Pete Hegseth during the first cold open of the 51st season, lamenting that “Our military is gay as hell!” But also mourning that “it’s also never been fatter!”

This mirrored his real life meeting with the military’s top generals this week, during which the meeting was strangely similar. Jost’s version just got rid of any subtext, demanding that the military be filled with “hot, shredded, hairless men that are definitely not gay.”

Then James Austin Johnson’s Trump interrupted to say he was “Just keeping my eye on SNL” and “Making sure they don...

‘Mr. Scorsese’ Review: A Vivid, Studied, Enormously Entertaining Portrait of a Cinematic ‘Cornerstone’
Image
In the second episode of Rebecca Miller’s enthralling five-part documentary on Martin Scorsese, the chronological review of his life and career reaches the 1976 classic “Taxi Driver.” Jodie Foster, sitting for a new interview on a film she’s been discussing for almost five decades, recounts how “gleeful” her director was to be making movies. “He was excited about how the blood got made,” Foster says, her eyes widening to mimic Scorsese’s delight. “And, when he was gonna blow the guy’s head off, how they put little pieces of Styrofoam in the blood so it would attach to the wall and stick there.”

“We had a great time,” Scorsese says. But then he pivots. He starts talking about how the studio “got very angry at us because of the violence,” because of the language, because of the “disturbing” depiction of New York City’s “seedy” underbelly. When the...

‘Monster’ Season 3 Review: Even ‘Ed Gein’ Doesn’t Want You to Watch This ‘Story’
Image
Late in the third episode of “Monster: The Ed Gein Story,” Alfred Hitchcock (Tom Hollander) is bemoaning the success of “Psycho.” Years after his iconic thriller shocked viewers out of showering, the studios only want him to make more “sex-horror” movies. They want him to push the envelope “further” — more blood, more violence, more nudity. “They don’t want ‘Dracula’ anymore,” his agent tells him. “They want ‘The Rape of the Vampire.’ They want ‘The Bloody Pit of Horror.'”

Audiences are even worse. Hoping to better understand the demand for smutty scares, Hitchcock and his wife, Alma Reville (Olivia Williams), spend an interminable evening at the theater surrounded by people throwing popcorn and making out while the topless woman onscreen is tortured and killed in a masked man’s dungeon. Alma refuses to stay for the ending, and Alfred is equally appalled.

“You brought it on yourself, Alfred,” he says to himself that evening.

[Warning: The following post contains Major spoilers for The Rainmaker Episode 8.] Sarah Plankmore (Madison Iseman) had a choice to make on Friday’s (October 3) new episode of The Rainmaker. After being confronted with the truth about what her client did — covering up the murder of multiple patients by a nurse — Keeley (Hugh Quarshie) offered her an off-ramp from the case, and she steered right away from it. [Warning: The below contains spoilers for Deadliest Catch Season 21] The October 3 episode of Deadliest Catch was dedicated to Carl “Blind Dog” Gorsegner. Johnathan Hillstrand paid tribute to his former deckhand. The Time Bandit captain initially broke the sad news in a December 31, 2024 post on Facebook that Carl drowned in Steward, Alaska. Jonathan continued on his season under a 72-hour time crunch to fulfill his 20,000 pounds of quota left before heading back to shore. “We’re not the kind of guys to quit,” he declared. This kind of mindset was needed given he had to deal with a low pressure system that brought 30-foot seas. Another problem came when his engine died. A camera showed that his port propeller was wrapped in a polyurethane line.

The life of a showgirl isn’t easy — but it sure is capital-r romantic, and just a bit tragic. That is, if you’re Miss Americana, aka Taylor Swift. The superstar just released her latest studio album just months after the end of her record-breaking Eras Tour and the recent announcement of her engagement to Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce. With The Life of a Showgirl Swift broke another record on the release’s first day, racking up the most single-day Spotify streams for an album in 2025.

“My life may be crappy, but at least I’m not on TV.”

That’s one explanation for the mass appeal of “To Catch a Predator” put forth by a subject in “Predators,” a new documentary about the mid-aughts sensation.
