What if addressing the emissions of your products cost less than consumers say they are willing to pay for it? It can. Consumers say they are willing to pay up to ~9% more for products with lower carbon footprints. In many cases, the cost of addressing the product-level emissions with Direct Air Capture (DAC) carbon removal credits (CDR) falls well below that premium. Meet Mindy Solomon, a Geophysical Advisor at 1PointFive where she works to understand rock formations that will durably store CO2. When she's not diving deep into the subsurface, you'll find her picking up a new craft or having fun on the home front. We appreciate Mindy's ability to find art in science and the curiosity she brings to everything she builds – above and below ground.

What does it take to make a lower-carbon product? Liverpool Football Club is showing the world for a second time. After previously introducing the world’s first lower-carbon football jersey, the club is introducing a new range of plush collectibles. LFC has committed to using Direct Air Capture to address remaining product emissions. And the cost? Less than $1 per item. Anthony Cottone, President and General Manager of 1PointFive, shares more on what this means for the future of lower-carbon products. Really proud to see our collaboration with Liverpool Football Club continue to grow. Last year, we worked together to launch a Special Edition 2005 Istanbul Anniversary Jersey, which will have its residual product emissions addressed through Direct Air Capture carbon removal credits. It went on to become the second best-selling product on LFC’s retail site in its first three months. Now we’re building on that work with the new Mighty Red Teddy and Red Ted, using the same product-level approach to calculate the emissions associated with each product and address that footprint through carbon removals from 1PointFive, enabled by the CarbonSig platform. What I like most about this partnership is that it demonstrates a repeatable business model to deliver differentiated products to consumers. The goal is to make carbon removal something that can be incorporated into everyday products in a practical and repeatable way. Proud of the teams at Liverpool FC and 1PointFive for continuing to move this forward, and always good to spend some time with Mighty Red! Liverpool Football Club is introducing a new range of plush collectibles that support LFC's sustainability journey through The Red Way that will have its product emissions addressed using Direct Air Capture Carbon Dioxide Removal (CDR) credits from 1PointFive. “We’re proud to work alongside Liverpool FC as they continue to raise the bar for how organizations can empower fans to be part of the sustainability solution. Building on last year’s momentum, this collaboration showcases how integrating Direct Air Capture solutions can deliver differentiated, best-selling product offerings while advancing sustainability goals in a measurable and verifiable way.” - Anthony Cottone, President and General Manager of 1PointFive. Liverpool FC and 1PointFive, a US-based carbon capture, utilisation and sequestration company, have expanded their collaboration with the launch of a new range of club products for supporters. Building on the success of the world-first commemorative jersey launched last year to mark the 20th anniversary of the 'Miracle of Istanbul', the collaboration will now include a new and improved Mighty Red teddy alongside a brand-new addition, Red Ted. As part of the collaboration, the carbon footprint of both products will be addressed through Direct Air Capture technology from 1PointFive, by removing carbon dioxide from the atmosphere equal to the amount generated from manufacturing up to the point of sale. The Alliance is pleased to announce a new project funded by our Gulf Star Program partner, 1PointFive. Over the next two years, funding from 1PointFive will support construction of an 800-foot living shoreline to address ongoing erosion issues at the Hans & Pat Suter Wildlife Refuge in Corpus Christi, Texas. This park provides important public access to the outdoors for both residents and visitors and is a well-known birding hotspot. However, recent storms have caused shoreline erosion that is threatening the park’s walking trail in several places. Coastal Bend Bays and Estuaries Program will work with volunteers to place oyster shell and plant native marsh grass. The living shoreline will reduce wave energy and provide habitat for fish, birds and wildlife.
