We’re proud to be part of this collaboration across farmers, customers, and partners working to advance regenerative agriculture in North Carolina wheat systems. Work like this reflects the value of strong partnerships across the supply chain and the shared commitment to improving soil health, strengthening farm resilience, and supporting long-term system outcomes from field to finished product.
Behind every ingredient is a story of people, partnership, and possibility. Two years ago, we launched a partnership with Bartlett, Ahold Delhaize USA, Arva, and North Carolina wheat farmers to advance regenerative agriculture practices. At its core, this work is about building a more resilient food system—from soil to snack. It has also sharpened my perspective on aligning with natural systems and collaborating with suppliers and private-sector partners committed to turning ambition into action. 🌾 I recently hosted my fellow Mars Snacking leaders for a visit to two of our North Carolina farm partners that help supply wheat for Cheez-It crackers—and visited a nearby Food Lion store to see the finished product on the shelf. One thing that never changes from farm to farm is the dedication, innovation, and care required to grow the ingredients that make our food. It’s a principle established by Mr. Kellogg, and one we still cherish today: the best foods come from the best farms! As we continue to integrate with Mars, we are truly Better Together! What makes this partnership meaningful is the collaboration behind it —from supporting farmers and improving soil health to applying lessons that can strengthen the food system over time. Standing in those fields, it’s clear this work goes beyond metrics. It’s about the history of the land, the families who have cared for it across generations, and the relationships and effort required to move a crop from field to mill to bakery, and ultimately into products that reach millions. Seeing how far the program has come, and where it can go, reinforces that progress happens when people collaborate, learn from one another, and invest for the long term. That’s what inspires me day-to-day, and why I’m grateful to the partners across the value chain who make it possible. It's not every week that you get to follow an ingredient from soil to snack, let alone enjoy a Cheez-It in the middle of a field of wheat destined to become a cracker someday. Through an innovative partnership with Bartlett, Ahold Delhaize USA, Arva and local North Carolina wheat farmers, we're encouraging adoption of regenerative agriculture practices, driving down greenhouse gas emissions across the value chain and improving on-farm outcomes. Last week, the team and I followed the path of a wheat harvest - from field, to mill, to bakery and finally, to the grocery store shelf - all within about an hour's drive. The engagement, collaboration and business sense of this passionate team of farmers, millers, Associates and grocers is a force for good. I was especially inspired by the two multi-generational farming operations we met with - people who love what they do and are proud to be a part of our snacks. I walked away with lots of ideas and questions about how we build on this program's success and extend our learnings to more partners. I was also struck by the fact that 15% of North Carolina's wheat crop goes into our Cheez-it crackers - a big responsibility for us to think bigger and bolder. I'm so grateful to our team, our partners at Bartlett, Ahold and Arva, and most importantly, to the farming families we met who share our commitment to generational thinking and who welcomed us to their fields. #SoilHealth #RegenerativeAgriculture #FromSoiltoSnack #Sustainability #PowerofPartnerships #Cheezit

Bartlett team members from our Statesville milling location recently participated in Park View Elementary School’s Community Helper Day, helping kindergarten students learn about the people and roles that support their everyday lives. The team shared how Bartlett connects local farmers to the food on their tables, walking students through how wheat is milled into flour and then delivered to bakeries that produce many of the foods they enjoy every day. They also highlighted the importance of food safety and quality in maintaining a reliable food supply. We’re proud to support programs that help students better understand where their food comes from and the role #agriculture plays in their communities. #dotherightthing #findabetterway #makeadifference #FeedtheWorld #PowerOurLives #SustainthePlanet
