We built a demo app that streams live Forex data from ClickHouse to Perspective using Apache Arrow—all in about 100 lines of code. The post covers: - Why Perspective (a Rust/C++ viz library compiled to WebAssembly) pairs perfectly with ClickHouse - How we stream thousands of data points per second using Arrow format - A working demo you can try yourself (we even provide the ClickHouse instance) - The limitations we discovered and future features we're exploring to address them Spoiler: We tested 20 concurrent clients hitting ClickHouse with ~200 queries/second. 🧩 Application logs are messy. 📊 Columnar databases love structure. In this experiment, we used log clustering to automatically detect log patterns and extract key fields into structured columns. Once structured, the logs were compressed almost 50 times better and became easier to query. It’s still exploratory work, but it shows real potential for automating log clustering at scale, making observability data leaner and faster to analyze. Full post 👉 https://lnkd.in/exCbhVGQ
