Axios reports that New York City has partnered with Brooklyn-based It’s electric to add 700 curbside EV chargers across all five boroughs. For rideshare drivers without a garage or dedicated parking spot, accessible charging can be the deciding factor that determines whether owning an EV is even possible. At EverFleet, we see vehicle access and charging infrastructure as interconnected pieces of the same transition. More charging provides more access, creating the opportunity for more gig drivers to take advantage of the lower operating costs that leasing a pre-owned EV provides. Making EVs more affordable and accessible to rideshare and delivery drivers is only part of the equation. Building charging infrastructure where those drivers actually live and work can help make those vehicles more productive — and the economics more compelling. https://lnkd.in/g9sS4JG8 #EverFleet #EVCharging #EVInfrastructure #Rideshare #EVOwnership #FleetFinancing #FutureOfMobility

The delivery economy continues to scale, and so does the need for the vehicles that power it. Bloomberg reports that Uber and DoorDash are expanding same-day Costco delivery, with DoorDash serving every Costco warehouse in the United States. It’s another example of how rapidly last-mile delivery is becoming embedded in everyday commerce. That growth points to a larger opportunity, more and more independent drivers need cost-efficient, reliable vehicles to generate income, yet traditional auto financing wasn’t built to serve them. That’s the gap that EverFleet is addressing. Through partnerships like our recent pilot with DoorDash, we’re building a vehicle sourcing and financing platform designed to help gig drivers and small and medium-sized fleet owners lease pre-owned EVs to take advantage of their lower operating costs and longer lifespan. As delivery volumes grow, we believe the infrastructure supporting the drivers, including how their vehicles are financed, needs to scale with them. https://lnkd.in/g2kaJzKU #EverFleet #DoorDash #FleetFinancing #LastMileDelivery #FutureOfMobility #EVs #Mobility

Another signal that institutional capital is betting big on commercial fleet electrification. Orange EV just closed a $100M senior secured credit facility with Wells Fargo — capital earmarked for expanding production of its electric terminal trucks and scaling OptiGrid, its charging infrastructure arm. EverFleet is ready to meet that momentum by helping fleet operators lower total cost of ownership by financing their transition to EVs. https://lnkd.in/du2N5V2w #FleetElectrification #EVFinancing #ElectricTrucking #EVFleet #ElectricSemis #CommercialEV #FleetManagement #Trucking #ElectricVehicles

EVgo is expanding access to public fast charging where drivers already spend time: grocery stores, shopping centers, and retail destinations. According to InsideEVs, EVgo plans to add more than 500 new DC fast chargers across the U.S., with many installations located at everyday retail hubs. By placing charging stations in high-traffic destinations, the company is making it easier for rideshare drivers, delivery operators, and commercial fleets to charge throughout the day. For small and mid-sized fleets and drivers, charging convenience remains one of the biggest factors influencing EV adoption. Expanding infrastructure in familiar, accessible locations helps reduce downtime, improve route flexibility, and make electric vehicles a more practical business decision. EverFleet is ready to help businesses and drivers finance the next generation of used EV fleets. https://lnkd.in/gtG8QeHK #EVCharging #FleetElectrification #ElectricVehicles #Rideshare #Delivery #EVFinancing #UsedEVs

The future of mobility is moving from testing to deployment. According to Bloomberg, Amazon-owned Zoox has received approval to deploy up to 5,000 autonomous robotaxis, marking one of the largest commercial rollouts of self-driving vehicles to date. As autonomous fleets continue to scale, the conversation is shifting from technological feasibility to how these next-generation fleets will be financed, owned, and operated. Whether it's electric delivery vans, rideshare vehicles, or autonomous fleets, access to flexible financing will play a critical role in accelerating adoption. As transportation evolves, innovative financing solutions will be just as important as the vehicles themselves. EverFleet is helping businesses prepare for the future by making EV fleet financing more accessible today. https://lnkd.in/g8HJ_kej #FutureOfMobility #AutonomousVehicles #FleetElectrification #EVFinancing #Transportation #CommercialFleets #ElectricVehicles

Used EVs are rising in value instead of depreciating for the first time. According to Axios, prices are up more than 5% since January, with the biggest gains at the affordable end of the market. A used 2023 Chevrolet Bolt EV that cost less than $18,000 in January now costs over $21,000. Two things are driving it: high gas prices stemming from the war with Iran, and a surge in off-lease returns giving buyers a deeper market to shop. With as many as 500,000 lease returns projected in 2026 and up to twice as many in 2027, that supply is only growing. For fleets and gig economy drivers, the growing used EV ecosystem is becoming a real lever for broader EV adoption and long-term vehicle affordability. https://lnkd.in/gttMJCYT #EVs #FleetElectrification #UsedEVs #EVFinancing #Transportation #RiskManagement

According to a recent article from InsideEVs, Walmart installed 368 new fast-charging ports in Q2 — more than Electrify America, EVGo, or ChargePoint, and second only to Tesla. It's climbed from ninth place in Q1 to the fastest-growing charging network besides Tesla, relying on its existing real estate across 3,500+ Supercenters nationally. For fleet owners, the scaling of EV charging infrastructure — including Walmart's rural footprint, set to fill a much needed gap, making it even easier for small to mid-sized fleets across the country to switch to EVs. New data from The Wall Street Journal should ease one of the biggest questions about EVs: how long do these batteries actually last? The report found that EVs built since 2022 have a battery replacement rate of just 0.3%, down from roughly 1 in 12 for early-generation EVs (2011–2016). The average EV also retains up to 95% of its original range after five years on the road. For fleet operators, this is exactly the kind of durability data that strengthens the case for used EVs as a smart, dependable choice. EverFleet is ready to help them source and finance the used EVs that make sense for their operations. https://lnkd.in/g-q99DSV #EVs #FleetElectrification #EVCharging #Transportation #EVFinancing #UsedEVs #RiskManagment
