By 2050, as society grows and prospers, we're almost guaranteed to see an uptick in energy demand compared to today. And we believe that natural gas – liquefied natural gas (LNG) in particular – is uniquely positioned to meet that demand. LNG is affordable, abundant, versatile, and a reliable, lower-emission alternative to coal. Clearly, it’s more than a fuel; it’s a force for progress. Which is why we’re developing four world-class LNG projects and expect to double our global LNG supply portfolio by 2030. Swipe through to learn more about how LNG and how it’s made. And check the comments below for a deeper dive into LNG supply and demand over the next few decades.

Discovery 6 isn’t just a supercomputer. It’s a milestone.   On July 22, we celebrated its launch, and it’s already reshaping how we explore and produce energy.   This achievement reflects the power of collaboration across our teams and with our partners at Hewlett Packard Enterprise and NVIDIA.   It’s a bold step forward in our Upstream strategy and a great example of how innovation drives performance across our portfolio.   We recently marked this achievement with a ribbon-cutting event, celebrating the teams and partners who made it possible.   Want to learn more about the supercomputer? Launching into the synthetic graphite business with power and purpose. ExxonMobil is accelerating its entry into the synthetic graphite business and doing it with a name that’s been in the graphite game for more than a century. We have entered into an agreement to acquire key assets and technology from Superior Graphite Co. The strategic move complements ExxonMobil’s planned entry into the battery anode graphite market. Superior Graphite’s manufacturing capabilities are a strong strategic fit with the new technology we are developing as part of our Carbon Materials Venture. This move marks a major milestone in our strategy to build a robust, synthetic graphite supply chain—right here in the U.S, creating quality domestic jobs. Stay tuned for more updates as we embark on this exciting new chapter.

Last week, our Chairman and CEO Darren Woods participated in the first Pennsylvania Energy and Innovation Summit at Carnegie Mellon University, hosted by Senator David McCormick. Darren spoke on how the energy industry can enable the AI revolution by meeting the growing demand for reliable, 24/7 power to support AI infrastructure, while reducing related CO₂ emissions with versatile fuels like natural gas and carbon capture and storage. “We're very focused in helping meet this demand for data centers and that intense energy need,” he said. He also provided insights into how AI can help the energy industry through modeling, monitoring and scaling commercial projects more efficiently. As the largest producer of oil and gas in America, we’re proud to be at the forefront of innovation – strengthening energy security, the economy, and workforce. https://lnkd.in/eWxzisXA

At our core, we're a technology company with 20,000 scientists and engineers around the world. We know that STEM matters. And we're proud to have supported the first-ever STEM Energy Professional Development Camp at SOWELA Technical Community College's Oakdale Campus. The week-long program, with instruction led by our friends at Rice University's Tapia Center, entailed 40 middle and high school teachers from rural Louisiana getting hands on with project-based learning in energy topics like carbon capture, wind power, and solar energy. We can't wait to see how these educators and the Allen Parish School Board take what they learned into their classrooms next school year.

This week, SOWELA Technical Community College at Oakdale hosted a Tapia Center STEM Energy Professional Development Program — a transformative, week-long experience for 40 educators from across Southwest Louisiana. Made possible through the FUEL Grant awarded to SOWELA, Allen Parish Schools and ExxonMobil, this initiative equips teachers with advanced tools and resources to educate students in STEM and foster academic growth. Thank you to Michael Butler for sharing opening remarks during this morning’s event, and thank you also to our volunteers Diana Skates, Jade Duplessis, Victoria Sagrera Bourque and Rosendo Cruz for lending your time and expertise.  #TapiaCenter #STEM #ProfessionalDevelopment #ExxonMobil#WeAreExxonMobil #SOWELA
