Today we're unveiling F.02 loading the dishwasher autonomously. We're ramping up our efforts to bring robots into the home. To achieve this, we need to develop human-like intelligence in robots. Today, we’re showcasing a neural network that can autonomously load a dishwasher. The same Helix model that folded towels and sorted packages can now load a dishwasher. No new algorithms, no special-case engineering, just new data. We posted a short write-up on the website: https://lnkd.in/gt7QttHJ. If you're interested in shipping humanoid robots to the world at scale, consider joining the Figure team. We are hiring today across Helix (AI), BotQ (Manufacturing), Mechanical, Embedded, and Design/HMI: www.figure.ai/careers

Unlike LLMs, we can’t scrape the internet for robot data. Announcing Project Go-Big: we’re building the world's largest humanoid pretraining dataset. This is accelerated by our partnership with Brookfield, who owns over 100,000 residential units. Helix is now learning directly from human video data. We have already trained on data collected in the real world, including Brookfield residential units. To our knowledge, this is the first instance of a humanoid robot learning navigation end-to-end using only human video. Every machine learning breakthrough has come from massive, diverse datasets. There is nothing like this for robotics so we are building our own. A single Helix neural network now outputs both manipulation and navigation, end-to-end from language and pixel input. We posted a write-up on the website about our plans to build an internet-scale pretraining data set and the results we have seen so far: https://lnkd.in/gShMXvMc If you are interested in helping us scale Helix and build the world’s largest pretraining dataset, apply here: www.figure.ai/careers

Today we’re announcing a first-of-its-kind partnership with Brookfield. Brookfield is one of the world’s largest asset managers with over $1 trillion of assets and 100,000 residential units. This deal provides access to real-world environments and compute needed to scale Helix. With access to Brookfield's massive scale, we plan to: → Develop the world’s largest and most diverse real-world humanoid pretraining dataset → Build critical AI infrastructure for scaling Helix, Figure’s internally developed AI model → Deploy humanoid robots in new commercial settings across Brookfield’s portfolio Building the Largest Pretraining Data Set for Helix: Using human video capture in a variety of Brookfield environments, we will amass critical AI training data for Helix to teach humanoid robots how to move, perceive, and act across a spectrum of human-centric spaces. We have already launched data collection efforts in Brookfield residential assets and will continue to scale this program in the coming months. Scaling AI infrastructure for Helix: As we collect what we hope to be the world’s largest pretraining dataset for Helix, we will need more compute. This partnership will explore broader infrastructure collaboration including support for next-generation GPU data centers. Accelerating Commercial Deployment of Humanoid Robots: We’re excited to be exploring commercial deployment of humanoid robots in new sectors and applications. Brookfield’s large operating portfolio, allows Figure to access new and diverse commercial deployment opportunities. If you’re interested in learning more about our partnership with Brookfield we posted a write-up: https://lnkd.in/gNanTXWh We’re excited for the next chapter with Brookfield. Announcing: Figure has exceeded $1B in funding at a $39B post-money valuation. This is an important milestone in Figure's goal to ship robots with human level intelligence. The round was led by Parkway Venture Capital with significant investments from Brookfield Asset Management, NVIDIA, Macquarie Capital, Intel Capital, Align Ventures, Tamarack Global, LG Technology Ventures, Salesforce, T-Mobile Ventures, and Qualcomm Ventures This new funding will support Figure's momentum across three core areas: → Scaling humanoid robots into homes and commercial operations → Building next-generation GPU infrastructure to accelerate training and simulation → Launching advanced data collection efforts for Helix You can read more about our Series C and our mission to solve general robotics here: https://lnkd.in/gTu7-eWN If you're interested in shipping humanoid robots to the world at scale, consider joining the Figure team: www.figure.ai/careers

Testing out the new Helix walking controller. it’s unstoppable We've been focusing on making our walking, trained through reinforcement learning, more robust In some areas it's starting to reach superhuman levels; and interesting to note the robot is walking blind (without cameras)

Today we unveiled the first humanoid robot that can fold laundry autonomously. The same Helix architecture that solved logistics tasks was applied directly to laundry folding. There were no modifications to the model or training hyperparameters - the only addition was the dataset. We're also expanding our natural multimodal human interaction. Helix learned to maintain eye contact, direct its gaze, and use learned hand gestures while engaging with people. Today we posted a short write-up on the website. What is exciting is the same general-purpose architecture - and the same physical platform - can seamlessly transition from industrial logistics to household chores. https://lnkd.in/gYHbtnr3 If you're interested in shipping humanoid robots to the world at scale, consider joining the Figure team. Today we're introducing our next generation humanoid battery for F.03. The F.03 battery is a significant advancement in our core humanoid robot technology roadmap and was engineered in-house and manufactured at BotQ. Advancements across 3 generations of battery technology has resulted in: → 78% reduction in cost → Higher safety and reliability → 2kW fast charge with active cooling → Significant energy density improvements The F.03 battery employs a number of novel design strategies including: → Structural Battery: our structural battery pack features a high-strength enclosure made of stamped steel, die-cast aluminum, and structural adhesives. This enables it to withstand a 1-meter drop onto concrete from any angle. → Active Cooling System: we created an active cooling system with integrated cooling components in the die casting. This reduces thermal resistance and local heat, allowing fast charging with basic forced convection cooling. → Anti-Propagation & Flame Containment System: the pack includes safety measures to stop thermal runaway from spreading to nearby cells and to contain flames. This is achieved using a thermally insulative potting compound and rapid heat distribution. Today, we're sharing a detailed write-up of the F.03 battery development process. We discuss battery architecture, thermal runaway, and manufacturing: https://lnkd.in/gNTQ4EhG We're scaling up BotQ, our high rate manufacturing facility: → Software Test Eng → Electrical Test Eng → End of Line Lead → Equipment Eng → Technician → MFG Eng Consider joining us: https://lnkd.in/g5wHEqyF

Today we're showing Helix's neural network do 60 minutes of uninterrupted logistics work. In the last few months, we've advanced our Helix neural network, which in Logistics is now capable of: → New package types → 20% faster package handling → 35% higher barcode scanning success → Adaptive behaviors such as patting down packages Many of the gains shown here were enabled by improvements to Helix’s System 1 policy. Helix now incorporates upgrades in temporal memory and force feedback. For example: the robot can now feel when it first touches an object. In addition to model improvements, we also saw strong gains from scaling training data. As we scaled from 10 to 60 hours of training data we saw the time/package drop from 6.3 to 4.3 seconds and barcode scanning accuracy improve from 88% to ~95%. Today we posted a long-form write-up of Helix solving Logistics. To learn more about the meaningful advances in model architecture review the write-up here: https://lnkd.in/gPTfUrCr If you're interested in shipping humanoid robots to the world, at scale, consider joining the Figure team.
