And just like that, the very first MODE is in the books.🙌 For three days, Minneapolis became a meeting place for hundreds photographers, artists, musicians, creators, and people who simply love the power of visual storytelling. We learned together, explored the city, experienced art in new ways, filled stages and photowalks, made new connections, and created the kind of moments that could only happen IRL. To everyone who joined us, shared their work, took the stage, led a conversation, supported the festival, or helped bring MODE to life, thank you for being part of the beginning. We’re excited to announce the recipient of the 2026 Flickr x Black Women Photographers grant! 🎉 Please join us in celebrating Nyancho NwaNri, whose photo "Of Grace and Concrete" took the top honor this year! A quiet trace of connection between young ballerinas and the forgotten space around them.
