  • We thought we knew what to expect from a Trek... until Entukai Primary. The school has long been a valued center of learning for the 2,500 residents of Oltepesi Village, Kenya. Day after day, teachers have given their all to students—even without electricity, a water system or secure fencing. With Freedom Forever, something unforgettable happened here. Video coming soon.

  • Picture this. You're a student in Ukala, Kenya and you have big dreams to be a doctor. But even learning basics like anatomy and chemistry can be nearly impossible if your school doesn't have reliable energy. Thanks to solar power, everything is changing. Teachers are being equipped with the power and digital tools needed to help make their students' dreams a reality. This video is just a sneak peek from our latest project in Ukala and we can’t wait to share more soon. Are you ready to help us power the next kid's dream? ⚡️

  • This wasn’t just a YouTube challenge. It became a movement. Mark Rober and MrBeast set out to raise $40 million in 31 days, and #TeamWater showed up. Millions came together, and now 2 million people will have access to clean water for decades. We're proud to be an implementation partner, building Solar Water Farms that help turn this vision into reality. But this win belongs to everyone who gave, shared, posted and believed. This is what hope in action looks like.

  • What if your workplace could help bring safe water and clean energy to communities around the world? Through GivePower's GivePartner program, companies can join us in making that vision a reality. From Corporate Treks that connect employees directly to the communities we serve, to programs that let organizations customize their impact, there are so many ways to get involved. If you believe your workplace would be a good fit, start by asking your HR, CSR, or sustainability team how your company can join GivePower as a GivePartner. It is a powerful way to build morale, strengthen teams and turn everyday sales into worldwide impact. Learn more at: https://lnkd.in/gnCMfE6U

  • In July, GivePower had the honor of hosting The Eco Hero Show on Trek to Kenya. Together, we installed a solar energy system at Itaa Primary School in Makueni County, bringing electricity and a computer lab to the school for the very first time. This project is already transforming daily life for students and teachers. With reliable power, lessons can go further, opportunities can grow, and the entire community of 3,335 people will feel the benefits. We are grateful to walk alongside partners like Mr. Eco and his team, who are inspiring young people everywhere to protect the planet while supporting students in Kenya to build a brighter future.

Mark Rober went to Kenya — and what he saw was unreal. GivePower’s Solar Water Farms turn saltwater into clean drinking water using nothing but sunlight. No fuel. No waste. Just clean water powered by the sun. We teamed up with Jimmy Donaldson (MrBeast) and #TeamWater to expand this impact, and we’re proud to be the implementation partner making these systems a reality. Even more than that, we’re proud to stand alongside the local communities who are leading lasting change. This is what innovation with heart looks like. 🌐 Learn more at teamwater.org 👉 https://lnkd.in/gjgme7mX

  • All around the world, healthcare workers give everything they can to care for their patients. Reliable energy shouldn’t be the thing that holds them back. But in Moriba Town, that was the challenge facing a brand-new hospital built to serve nearly 14,900 people. Without dependable power, doctors and nurses would have few options and patients would be left at risk, sometimes even having to deliver babies by flashlights on phones. That’s where GivePower’s Solar Impact Projects team stepped in. With support from the Taggart Family and LDS Church, we installed a solar energy system so no one’s health would be put on hold because of energy needs. The hospital is now working to bring in equipment and ready itself for the steady stream of patients in need of its powerful new services. On a recent trip, our VP of Solar Impact Projects, Benjamin Materna, stopped by the site to connect with the hospital's team. We can't wait to see the transformational impact they and the hospital will have on this community!
