Announced this week at Farnborough: JetZero is opening a new engineering office in Wichita, Kansas. The satellite office complements our headquarters and advanced manufacturing and final assembly campus under construction in Greensboro, North Carolina, and our Design Center in Long Beach, California — deepening the company's presence in the U.S. aerospace industrial base. Located at the National Institute for Aviation Research (NIAR) on Wichita State University's Innovation Campus, the office will focus on advanced materials expertise, digital engineering, and certification testing in direct support of the Z4 program. "Opening a satellite engineering office in Wichita expands our ability to attract the world's best talent," said Daniel Da Silva, JetZero President and COO. "JetZero and NIAR have been collaborating for years on composite materials qualification and structural testing for the Z4 demonstrator. The selection of Wichita for this office, where some of our structures engineers are already located, will help propel in-person collaboration as we continue to meet our milestones for the demonstrator's first flight by the end of 2027." Up to $3 billion. That's the potential financing JetZero and Export-Import Bank of the United States (EXIM) are now exploring for our Greensboro, North Carolina manufacturing campus. At the Farnborough International Airshow, Tom O'Leary and EXIM Chairman and CEO John Jovanovic signed a Letter of Interest under EXIM's Make More in America Initiative. The LOI sets a framework to evaluate financing support for construction, production systems, and equipment at the campus. The project is expected to create more than 14,500 direct manufacturing jobs in North Carolina, with an estimated 53,000 additional indirect U.S. jobs. "This Letter of Interest marks an important step toward building the most advanced aerospace manufacturing campus in the country and bringing tens of thousands of high-quality jobs to North Carolina," said Tom O'Leary, JetZero CEO and co-founder. Any future EXIM support remains subject to full underwriting, due diligence, and Board approval. BREAKING NEWS: Japan Airlines Backs JetZero's Z4 Day 2, Farnborough International Airshow — Japan Airlines announced its support for JetZero's Z4 program, the next-generation blended-wing-body aircraft designed to reshape commercial aviation.
