This Saturday, the City of Sherwood celebrated the grand opening of its brand-new signature pedestrian bridge.       Spanning 900 feet across Highway 99W, Elwert Road, and Kruger Road, the 5-span bridge links existing and future bike and pedestrian paths to Sherwood High School—making it safer and easier than ever for students and community members to cross the busy highway.        At 14 feet wide, with striking, alternating upright and inverted arch trusses, the bridge is not only functional but serves as a bold new landmark. We’re thrilled to see hundreds of people already making use of the bridge on their daily commutes. Our Greater Los Angeles Structural Team was a 2025 Nominee for HCA Healthcare Design Partner of the Year for our work on HCA Riverside Community Hospital and HCA Good Samaritan Hospital. Our team was celebrated alongside other industry leaders at the 2025 HCA Partnering Meeting in Nashville. Aaron Reynolds, Mary Cuthbert and Jeanne Li had the honor to present Shaken, Not Stirred: Designing for California’s Seismic Reality, explaining the unique challenges and design solutions for healthcare in seismically active region of California. Members from our Los Angeles Civil and Nashville offices were also there for the festivities.
