The event we look forward to every year did not disappoint. The 2025 AASHTOWare Bridge Management User Group (BrMUG) meeting took place last week in Providence, RI, and it lived up to our expectations. From opening remarks and state updates to breakout trainings on Optimization and Inspection to in-depth discussions on AASHTOWare BrM 7.1, SNBI transition, and quality improvements, the sessions sparked important conversations. Just as valuable were the connections made in the hallways, during meals, and at the evening events. A huge thank you to the Rhode Island Department of Transportation for hosting, to the AASHTOWare® team and Task Force for their leadership, and to all the agencies and partners who contributed to another successful year. Today’s sessions at the 2026 AASHTOWare Bridge Management User Group (BrMUG) meeting have been full of great questions from attendees, and interactive training led by BrM software experts! We began the day with 201 Optimization training led by Mayvue and transitioned to a user led panel discussion with the AASHTOWare Bridge Management Task Force covering topics such as the 7.1 release, agency SNBI transition plans, and more! It has been great to see the networking occurring throughout the week with our meet and greet, and the breaks between sessions. We hope to continue with a lot of these great conversations throughout the year! We would like to thank the Rhode Island Department of Transportation for hosting us this year, and all of the attendees and speakers who made it such a productive meeting. We are looking forward to seeing everyone next year for the 2026 joint BrMUG and RADBUG in Columbus, OH!

This release completes the software rewrite that began with BrM 7.0 and brings powerful new capabilities to bridge owners nationwide: + Rewritten Optimizer and Management modules + Purpose-built API calls in BrM API v2 + Updated FHWA SNBI validations + Enhanced UI for improved navigation and usability + Stability and performance improvements across the platform A big thank you to the agencies whose contributions and feedback made this release possible.
