Last week, New Orleans Pelicans Governor and CEO Gayle Benson joined leaders from Porsche Cars North America to celebrate the Grand Opening of the new Destination Porsche New Orleans facility. It was a milestone moment for our region, for Jefferson Parish, and for the entire Benson Automotive Group. The celebration included the reveal of the all‑new 2026 Cayenne Electric and a special highlight for noted Pelicans supporter Morris Bart: a custom‑ordered Pelicans Porsche 911 that showcases the pride, passion, and community spirit that connect our sports family with the city we call home. The new Destination Porsche facility represents more than the next chapter for Porsche New Orleans. It reflects Mrs. Benson’s continued investment in elevating experiences across all her businesses and her commitment to bringing world‑class opportunities to Jefferson Parish. Designed to be immersive, modern, and community‑minded, the space reflects the same standard of excellence Pelicans fans feel every time they step into the Smoothie King Center. A proud moment for Metairie, for Jefferson Parish, and for the future of Porsche in our region.

Coming off a successful NFL Draft, don’t miss this conversation with Dennis Lauscha on what it really takes to lead not one, but two professional sports teams—and why the key to winning might surprise you. President and CEO of the New Orleans Saints, the New Orleans Pelicans and the broader Gayle Benson companies, Dennis and I discuss what leaders can learn from one of the most demanding environments in business. He shares that as hard as it can be to hear, you want your employees to tell you the honest truth. But that’s not how connection is built. The real challenge leaders face isn't getting people to perform, but getting people to speak up. Creating an environment where employees feel comfortable telling you what’s actually going on, whether it’s a big strategic issue or something small that’s impacting the experience. And Dennis knows: If people don’t feel safe telling you the small things, they won’t tell you the big things either.
