The One Big Beautiful Bill Act is here, and the clock is already ticking. Incentives are sunsetting. Supply chains are tightening. Timelines are compressing. The projects that win won’t be the ones that wait — they’ll be the ones that move. Our latest blog isn’t another policy explainer. It’s a tactical execution playbook for developers who want to accelerate through the chaos and turn constraint into competitive edge. ⏱️Three timelines. 🛠️One high-speed path to build, before the window closes. If you're building clean energy infrastructure in the U.S., this is your 30-month sprint. 📖 Read now: https://hubs.ly/Q03xvBJF0 #CleanEnergy #EnergyDevelopment #OBBBA #EnergyPolicy #Renewables #Transmission #Solar #GridReform #Decarbonization

    Energy & Data Science

We're hiring on the Product team at Paces. The mandate is simple: too many energy projects fail because they get started without the right data. This means developers, and our industry at large, spends enormous amounts of time and capital developing projects that will ultimately never get built. The waste is palpable. Our software brings zoning, permitting, grid, and environmental data together, then uses AI to help us decide what and where to build. We're looking for PMs who are natural leaders, highly technical, and well versed in both scaling and standing up new products from 0 to 1. If this sounds like you or anyone in your network, please get in touch. Product Manager (Energy & Grid): https://lnkd.in/ek-zzADP Product Manager (Real Estate & GIS): https://lnkd.in/e-Fn3HbU

This week on Power Weekly, Stuart Pomeroy walks us through: - What Meta’s wholesale power move signals for other mega-consumers - The DOE’s new Speed to Power Initiative to accelerate transmission + generation - How SPP is fast-tracking large load interconnections with a 90-day pathway Three big shifts across data centers, energy, and utilities, and what they mean for developers, operators, and the future of power. Watch our full take 👇 #PowerWeekly

  • That’s a wrap on #ClimateWeekNYC 🌍 We started the week with a Paces Green Spirit Day, hit the court in a climate basketball tournament, and capped things off with a community happy hour at Farm.One. Alongside renewable energy peers, we toured their hydroponic garden, learned about sustainable farming, and built new connections across the industry. Thanks to everyone who joined us for an incredible week of energy, collaboration, and community!

  • The clean energy industry isn’t slowing down – and #REPlus2025 showed what’s fueling the momentum. At the conference, policy changes, grid congestion, capital flows, storage growth, and real estate took center stage. Together, these forces are reshaping how projects get built and what developers, investors, and partners need to prepare for next. Missed the conference? • ⚡ What if a single person could build a billion-dollar power development company? Our CEO, James McWalter, argues we may be closer than many think. Advances in AI are transforming power development and collapsing processes that once took months into minutes. That speed unlocks profound change: it lowers the barrier to entry for new developers, accelerates the pace of power buildout, and helps the U.S. meet surging AI-driven energy demand and national targets. By 2030, this future could be within reach. Read James’ piece here: https://lnkd.in/e9APkhdy

CEO @ Paces | Project Development

We can now build the one-person $1B power development company. By leveraging AI and robotics we are seeing the emergence of "A flywheel of compounding infrastructure buildout... data centers that can build other data centers." (Sam Altman) A one-person company that moves 500MW/yr of project pipeline and generates ~$100M of development fees commanding a ~$1B valuation. After a number of technical breakthroughs Paces achieved this summer, we are now working with people doing exactly this. Developing data centers & power plants is really hard. At every step, there are interconnection & permitting bottlenecks and uncertainty. Each step is labor intensive and completed sequentially with a project failure rate of 80%. All of this is happening during a century-level demand surge. The current methods cannot meet the demand, and if we fail, the US will fall behind in the AI race. Fortunately AI has given us the tools needed to meet its own power needs. At Paces we have built power developer agents which leverages proprietary Data (power, permitting, etc), industry specific Tools and Orchestration (agents). Agents can operate across each project development stage: Siting → Interconnection → Permitting → Finance → Procurement. Add in the amazing advances in robotics from companies like Planted Solar or operational AI from the likes of Zeitview and the entire stack is becoming automatable: Development → Construction → Operations. The data, tools & orchestration needed for the one-person $1B power developer are in place and being deployed Paces now. What remains is fast iteration on any gaps & connecting agents with robotics. 100s of these companies will exist by 2030. If you want to build one, DM me. https://lnkd.in/eKxFk5rj

  • This week’s Power Weekly is live! Stuart Pomeroy breaks down: - Over $3.5B in fresh capital announced in less than two weeks - Major moves from Catalyze, Nautilus Solar Energy, LLC, Summit Ridge Energy, Nexamp, Madison Energy Infrastructure, and Galvanize. Showing that there's strong confidence from the capital markets - Why discipline and grid literacy are becoming must-haves as developers get ready to put this capital to work Catch the full recap + our RE+ blog for more insights 👇 https://hubs.la/Q03KbWn_0
