In 2016, a video on YouTube changed how I think about product management. I was two years in as a PM and completely stuck in the feature trap. Building features, shipping things, calling it value. Then I found "The Art of Product Management" by Sachin Rekhi. It rewired everything. It inspired me to stop chasing features and start thinking about outcomes. I never met Sachin. But that video stayed with me for a decade. Yesterday, I finished the AI Productivity course — taught by Sachin himself. Same energy. Same sharpness. Same gift for making complex ideas land like they were obvious all along. Full circle. Ten years apart, two completely different chapters of my life, but the same result: I'm walking away energized and ready to put everything into practice. If you ever get the chance to attend one of his sessions, don't think twice — just go. You'll discover one of the real naturals at teaching product management. One of the best in the world. The most engaging sessions are the ones where you look around the room and see everybody fully in it, enjoying every single minute. His are exactly that. #ProductManagement #AIProductivity

AI has made individual contributors faster. Has it made your team better? That's the question driving Canvas 26, Miro's annual conference, and it's one we've been thinking about a lot. Brian Balfour, our founder and now Miro's Chief Growth Officer, will be speaking at the San Francisco event on May 19 about how growth has changed. Canvas 26 is also coming to London, Sydney, and Tokyo this summer, with speakers including Miro CEO Andrey Khusid, Jeff Chow, Luke Harries, Matthew Cloke, Amy Hsuan, Jamie Pride, Wesley Fagan, Mathias Davidsen, Joe McLean and Taiki Mukoyama. The teams already figuring this out aren't waiting. 𝗪𝗲 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗲𝘅𝗰𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗮𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗥𝗲𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗴𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝗷𝗼𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 Miro! 10 years ago, Brian Balfour and Andrew Chen ran the first Reforge Growth Series. What started as a single course has grown into a community of over 100,000 alumni and SaaS products used by product teams everywhere. A couple of years ago, we recognized how big a shift AI would be. Not just a technology shift, but a knowledge shift. Every product team would need new tools 𝘢𝘯𝘥 new thinking to navigate the biggest transition our industry has ever seen. Joining Miro lets us accelerate everything we've been building. Their user base of 100m+ individuals and 275k organizations will give Reforge community, partners, and products incredible reach. Reforge Learning will remain a separate brand and community, dedicated to bringing expert-created and expert-led courses on the most important topics in tech. We'll continue expanding our AI, product, and growth courses while adding new topic areas like design and engineering. Reforge Insights, Research, and Build will be integrated into the Miro platform as part of the Product Acceleration solution, giving current Reforge customers access to even more tools to accelerate their product efforts. Thank you to all current and former members of Reforge, our partners, our investors and our team. We look forward to the next chapter. Link in the comments to the full announcement 👇

Exploring multiple paths instead of going down a single one. Creating prototypes to propose a quick fix for a bug. Using visuals to resolve disagreement or misalignment. Collaborating on solutions instead of designing in a vacuum. Making a solid plan before diving into vibe-coding. Building in public. These are all important ways of working that designers and product folks consider daily, and it's fascinating to see how the Reforge Agent can help us be more collaborative, democratize the prototyping process, and gain the ability to work on solutions together. Testing our Agent last week and being able to incorporate feedback from Engineers and Leaders directly from Slack felt so fast, efficient, and inclusive. The future doesn't need to be filled with useless vibe-coded products that no-one wants, needs, or asked for. Bringing in an Agent as your prototyping assistant can help you make a stronger plan to address real customer pain points, incorporate your team's feedback, and make high-stakes decisions - by building and testing quality prototypes to validate hypotheses and assumptions, faster than ever. Well done, Bogdan Danila.

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗯𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁 𝗱𝗲𝗰𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗮 𝗾𝘂𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻. Most AI tools optimize for speed. They take your input and build as fast as possible. The problem is that most product ideas don't start as specs. They start as a direction, a hunch, a problem worth solving. 𝗧𝗼𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝘄𝗲'𝗿𝗲 𝗹𝗮𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗗𝗶𝘀𝗰𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝗔𝗴𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗶𝗻 𝗥𝗲𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗴𝗲 𝗕𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱. Before a single line of code is generated, it thinks through your idea with you. It asks the right clarifying questions, generates a plan you can approve, sketches lo-fi wireframes, and produces a prototype that reflects what you actually meant. Here's what's new: • Exploration-first by default • Inline clarifying questions with a guided UI • Plan approval before building • Wireframe tool for early visual reaction • URL-based context • Voice input • Ask mode Build has always been fast. Now it starts smarter. Try it today at build.reforge.com.

In Machine Learning we call this human-in-the-loop: use automation to filter, explore, and iterate, so human judgment is applied exactly where it matters. User research should work the same way. Today we launched Prototype Testing in Reforge Research. Prototype → AI Interview → Synthesized Feedback → Apply → Repeat The AI interviewer runs real conversations on prototypes with real users and synthesizes the feedback automatically. Before that, you can run Synthetic Users to pressure-test the obvious paths. Then bring in humans for the uncharted paths, surprising behaviors, and edge cases: the places where human insight actually matters. Build your prototype in Reforge Build. Set up a structured user test in Research. A live AI interviewer guides real users through your prototype while recording the session. When sessions are done, you get synthesized insights across every interview and individual session replays. All without scheduling a single call. Teammate feedback tells you what your team thinks. Prototype Testing tells you what your users do. The gap between building and knowing just got a lot shorter. Links in the comments to try a sample interview and learn more.

A few months ago, our product team at M1 started using Reforge Insights with a simple goal: deepen and accelerate customer discovery. Great product strategy is built on deep, nuanced understanding of the user—not just metrics, but motivations, friction, and unmet needs. The part of product that energizes me most isn’t shipping features. It’s understanding people, sitting in interviews, and truly understanding what’s frustrating, confusing, delightful, or simply misunderstood. Reforge has helped us operationalize this in three ways: 𝗛𝗼𝗹𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗰 𝗰𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗿 𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻𝗮𝗹 We now synthesize feedback across Intercom, social, customer interviews, and signals from our AI chat product. Instead of scattered anecdotes, we see meaningful patterns. 𝗜𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁-𝗱𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗻 𝗽𝗿𝗶𝗼𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗶𝘇𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 We pair rich qualitative insights with the ability to quantify recurring pain points. 𝗦𝗽𝗲𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 Work that once required hours of manual review now happens instantly. Insights flow directly into PRDs. Post-launch monitoring is fully automated, tightening the feedback loop between shipping and learning. Grateful to Brian Balfour and Chun Jiang for building tools that elevate how product teams think, understand customers, and accelerate insight to action. Curious how other product teams are leveling up their discovery muscle and moving faster?
