LinkedIn just gave every B2B company a new weapon against their competitors. And they called it a quality feature. The new "report AI slop" button sounds great in theory. Flag the garbage, clean up the feed, reward the humans. I'm all for it. But I run a community of 100,000+ GTM professionals, and I know exactly how this plays out. Because I watch B2B companies behave in the wild every single day. The first thing that's going to happen is someone on a marketing team is going to realize they can flag every single post from a competitor as AI-generated. Not because it is. Because it's Tuesday and they have a content war to win. Then the competitor does it back. Then their partners do it. Then the SDRs get involved because someone put it in a playbook. Now LinkedIn isn't moderating AI slop. LinkedIn is refereeing a mass-reporting war between companies who figured out that the report button is cheaper than writing better content. This is the same pattern every platform goes through. You build a trust tool, and the first people to exploit it are the ones with the most to gain from suppressing someone else's reach. It happened with Google reviews. It happened with Amazon seller reports. It's going to happen here. The intent is good. I genuinely believe LinkedIn wants to clean up the feed. But intent doesn't survive contact with B2B competition. The companies that game outbound, game SEO, and game every distribution channel they touch are going to game this too. The question isn't whether the feature works. The question is whether LinkedIn is ready to build the infrastructure to tell the difference between a real report and a competitive takedown. Because right now, I don't think they are. This is going to get messy before it gets better. ❤️🏴☠️

This is either the worst idea in the world or it just could work. I'm goaling my team on being more active on LinkedIn. I've seen what it does for our community growth. But, right now I'm just a single lever here. So we want to expand. To help build the team's muscles I've instituted a contest. Cash prizes included. Here are the gates: 1. Who posts the most net-new posts for the month. 2. Who gets the highest engagement (likes + comments) 3. Who comments on the most posts for the month. Rules: - 3 people (outside me) have to post 10+ posts in the month - Everyone most post 1 post a week - Everyone must max out connections to our ICP members and/or sponsors weekly (100 ish) I wanted to give targets that everyone can control. The impression gate will have some bias towards who's been posting already, but I suspect that will leave quickly once people get the hang of it. As a starting point, I encouraged everyone to post about what they know. Who they are. Their journey to now. As well as what they're learning and working on today to share those learnings. On my end, I'm going to also build a system that gives ideas based on our internal conversations with team, customers, prospects, community, and events. This could all go terribly wrong or it may just be an unlock. I'm making this bet to maximize trust of our team and the broader GTM community. PS Follow and connect with the team: Angela Mondal, Upamanyu Ghosh, Tobi Oloko Harriette Palomo and Nandini Raha to help them out. What do you think?

  • You can buy every AI tool on the market. None of them will fix the fact that nobody owns your data. That's the wall most GTM teams hit when they try to scale AI past a pilot. The tools work fine in a demo. Then you point them at a CRM with five definitions of "qualified account," three sources that disagree, and no one accountable for any of it, and the whole thing falls apart. On August 12th, three of ZoomInfo's GTM Operations leaders get into what it takes to build a foundation AI can run on at enterprise scale: → Mollie B., VP, GTM Operations → Drew Schoettler, Director, GTM Operations → Jessica Buchwald, Sr. Manager, Business Operations, AI & Strategy They'll cover what governed data looks like when agents are doing the work, how to move past the pilot stage, and where personalization at scale turns into guesswork at scale. 📅 Wednesday, August 12th, 12 PM ET / 9 AM PT Free to attend. "The best enablement is a good product." Cory Bray said that when I asked whether Perplexity, which hit nine figures in revenue with five people in go-to-market, had an enablement person among those five. He didn't hesitate. No. That answer should worry anyone whose job is building programs. The production work got cheap this year, and the roles were never hired for what is left. A few things from the conversation: → Half of every onboarding program was always a commodity. That half is now    about an hour of work → BDR ramp went from 60 days to roughly two weeks across his client work → He thinks your five-point call scorecard is measuring nothing Cory has written eight books on B2B sales and spent eight years running ClozeLoop before pivoting into software with CoachCRM. Full conversation is on YouTube, and the seven-move written version went out in Revenue Creator this week. Both links in the comments.

I personally invited 4,000 people to RevGenius. Now I need to do it again. 1,000 people join RevGenius every month without us running a single campaign. That number should make me comfortable. Instead it keeps me up at night, because I know it should be 2,000. Not because the math says so. Because I've been here before. During COVID I personally invited 4,000 of our first 5,000 members. One by one. No playbook, no budget, just a guy who couldn't sit still when he knew there were people out there who needed this room and hadn't found it yet. 100,000+ members later, I still feel that pull. And when I personally reached out to 50+ of them who had gone quiet, the same answers kept coming back. There are revenue leaders, founders, and operators grinding right now who would get massive value from this community. They just don't know it exists yet. And that's on me. Inbound alone gets us to 105k. I could sit back and let it happen. But that's not how we got here, and it's not how we get to what's next. So here's the goal, out loud, where I can't hide from it: 2,000 new members a month through targeted outbound to the exact people who should already be here. I'm not afraid it won't work. I'm afraid of what happens if I never go after it. If you know a revenue leader, founder, or GTM operator who should be in the room, tag them or send them my way. Time to move. ❤️🏴☠️

Every founder has said some version of this out loud: "I need to do go-to-market better than the my incumbent." Dale and I sat down with Jared Robin, founder of RevGenius, and he called that entire framing wrong. Being "better" than the big guy isn't a strategy. It's table stakes. His actual advice: "...stop thinking about go-to-market, and start thinking about creating the market." Your Monday Morning Move: - Pick one person in your network whose content you've been quietly consuming without ever engaging. - Don't like the post. - Comment your actual point of view, then DM them what you took away from it. See what comes back. If nothing does, you don't have a network. You have a feed. The episode is live now. Link in the comments.

EliseAI is hiring SDRs in Boston and NYC. If you want a bag and a fast track to AE, read this. They just promoted 5 SDRs to AE this year. 10 last year. Over two dozen all-time. Those promotions opened 14 seats: 11 in Boston, 3 in NYC. They're filling an August and September class right now. The comp is not theoretical. Their top SDR W2'd $160K last year. In Q1, their top rep hit 222% to goal and pulled $26,913 in commission. The top 4 all cleared 150% and $15K+ in quarterly commission. Q2 looked the same. The SDR seat is the talent bench, and it's hard to keep top reps in it because they keep moving up. Average timeline to promotion is 9 to 10 months, whether that’s stepping into a Senior SDR role or jumping straight to AE. The reason it works is the product. EliseAI has grown 100% YoY for five straight years. Fewer than 20 AI companies on earth have done that. Fewer than 5 of those are vertical AI players. They already work with most of the top 50 multifamily owners and sit as the #1 AI company in the industry. Also hiring AEs and SDR/AE Managers. The AEs are running 260 to 360% of quota, with $20M in ARR from a single rep. Boston or NYC, moving fast. Comment or DM and we'll get you connected. (Link to apply in the comments)

  • We're kicking off the AI-led GTM webinar series, our new run of sessions for and by the RevGenius community, where a GTM leader hands you a playbook they've run themselves. First up on August 13th, Adam Jay and Dale Zwizinski from Revenue Reimagined take on the wall every scaling company hits. You hit a number between $3M and $100M and growth just stops. You spend to fix it, but hiring and tooling only paper over the real issue. Founder-led selling took you this far, and the machine that's supposed to take over hasn't been built yet. Adam and Dale fix this for a living. They embed inside scaling companies and run a four-phase framework to find what's broken and close it. That's what they're teaching here. You'll walk out knowing which phase you're in, what's stalling you, and how to get to the next one in 90 days. 📅 Thursday, August 13th, 12 PM ET Free to attend. Link to register in the comments!

1,000 people join RevGenius every month without us asking. That's not a flex. That's a signal. When a thousand GTM professionals show up to your community inbound every single month, it tells you something about what the market actually wants. People are tired of buying courses and sitting in Slack groups that went quiet six months ago. They want a room full of operators who are in it right now. So we're not just going to ride the wave. We're doubling it. I'm setting a public goal: 2,000 new members a month by running targeted outbound campaigns to the exact revenue leaders, founders, and GTM operators who should already be in the room but don't know it exists yet. 100,000+ members didn't happen because we had the best marketing. It happened because every person who joined told someone else it was worth their time. That's the only growth engine that actually compounds. But inbound alone leaves people out. There are operators grinding right now who would get massive value from this community and just haven't crossed paths with us yet. That's on me to fix. The plan is simple. Find them where they are. Show them what we've built. Let the community sell itself the way it always has. RevGenius started with me personally inviting 4,000 of the first 5,000 members. Feels right to get back to that energy, just at a different scale. We're just getting started. ❤️🏴☠️
