If you think current AI workloads are demanding, wait until autonomous agents take over. VAST CEO Renen Hallak joined Nicole Hemsoth Prickett on {Shared Everything} to discuss why managing AI models as infrastructure resources is the only way enterprises will survive the next wave of scale. 🎧 Full episode link in the comments 🚀

VAST Data is the AI Operating System company – powering the next generation of intelligent systems with a unified software infrastructure stack that was purpose-built to unlock the full potential of AI. The VAST AI OS consolidates foundational data and compute services and agentic execution into one scalable platform, enabling organizations to deploy and facilitate communication between AI agents, reason over real-time data, and automate complex workflows at global scale. Built on VAST’s breakthrough DASE architecture – the world’s first true parallel distributed system architecture that eliminates tradeoffs between performance, scale, simplicity, and resilience – VAST has transformed its modern infrastructure into a global fabric for reasoning AI.

In the latest episode of the Shared Everything podcast, VAST Data CEO and co-founder Renen Hallak and I talk through the next big AI infrastructure problem taking shape: managing the models themselves. As agents multiply, infrastructure has to manage model weights, fine-tuning, lineage, data access, GPU placement and security at machine scale. Take a listen as Renen Hallak gets into model management, confidential computing, AI ownership and why systems built for human scale will need to be rethought for the agent era. https://lnkd.in/egHX3cTs

Enterprises won't export private data. Model providers won't export proprietary weights. Regulators won't budge. The result? High-value AI projects stay stalled in legal and security reviews. In this month's VAST View, Derrick Harris breaks down how VAST DataEnclave solves the enterprise trust deadlock by bringing state-of-the-art models directly to regulated data with zero data migration required.

In 2023, VAST Data and CoreWeave started with 10 PB across two data centers. Today, that partnership powers over 1 Exabyte of data infrastructure across 32+ global data centers. When training frontier models and running agentic AI at scale, compute efficiency is everything. By coupling CoreWeave’s flexible GPU cloud with the VAST AI OS, enterprise workloads run on a zero-copy architecture designed to feed GPUs at full speed—eliminating idle cycles from training to inference. If you are in San Francisco this week for CoreWeave Fully Connected, see this architecture in action as VAST Co-founder & VP of Technology Alon Horev presents "Data Architecture for AI: From Training Pipelines to Agent Memory" to learn how storage, metadata, and KV cache architectures must evolve across the AI lifecycle.

Unpredictable cloud bills. Security reviews that go nowhere. Infrastructure that cannot scale from pilot to production. Arkane Cloud is changing that story for European enterprises. Powered by the VAST AI Operating System, their new AI cloud gives organizations a pragmatic path out of experimentation: test use cases on shared infrastructure, prove your workload economics, and scale directly into a dedicated AI factory without ever re-architecting your data foundation. See how Arkane Cloud is unblocking enterprise AI in Europe ⬇️

Roughly half of the world's enterprise data is beyond the reach of today's leading AI models. VAST DataEnclave extends VAST data protection beyond data at rest and in transit directly into data in action. Download and read the new solution brief to learn how confidential GPU computing, cryptographic attestation, and tamper-proof auditing in VAST DataBase enable state-of-the-art AI factories across the VAST global partner ecosystem👇

Enterprise data stays protected. Model weights stay encrypted. Zero mutual trust required. This demo takes you under the hood of VAST DataEnclave to show how hardware-backed attestation and staged key releases break the AI trust deadlock. See how an application deployed from the VAST DataEngine Application Store decrypts weights solely inside verified CPU and GPU memory, protects KV caches with ephemeral keys, and completely isolates execution from the underlying host. What happens when an enterprise has not dozens of AI agents, but millions of them, each using, refining and creating models of its own? That’s where my latest conversation with VAST Data CEO and co-founder Renen Hallak gets super interesting. We talk about models becoming a new infrastructure resource, why weights could become some of an enterprise’s most valuable IP, confidential computing, and the systems required when agents begin interacting and transacting at machine scale. Renen’s prediction: much of the infrastructure we’ve built for humans will have to be rebuilt for a world operating six or seven orders of magnitude faster and bigger. A fascinating look at what comes after today’s AI infrastructure. Airs this Wednesday at 9 am Eastern. Stay tuned by subscribing to the Shared Everything podcast -- https://lnkd.in/en3JtTEY
