Microsoft Build 2025 –an incredible four days, 300+ sessions and 60 new product and services announcements with AI at the center! This year, we laid out a bold vision for the next generation of AI moving from reactive assistants to proactive, collaborative agents that drive outcomes across systems, tools, and data. There were so many inspiring moments and announcements, with a few highlights:   The Open Agentic Web: Satya Nadella introduced the concept of an open agentic web. AI agents like calendar managers, content creators, and supply chain optimizers working together to manage complexity and deliver business value at scale. GitHub Copilot Evolves: Copilot has matured into an autonomous agent, now capable of debugging, implementing features, and answering code-related queries—cutting down time-to-value for developers. Sam Altman on Codex Agents: Joined by Sam Altman, Satya spotlighted the launch of Codex agents what Sam called “one of the biggest changes to programming.” His message was clear: “We haven’t seen many technological shifts like this in history but leaning in early and hard has always been rewarded.” Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Azure AI Advances With fine-tuned Copilot capabilities and over 1,900 models now in Azure AI (including Grok 3), partners and customers have more tools than ever to build, scale, and differentiate.   The biggest key takeaway - AI agents are here and are unleashing opportunities for both small and medium enterprises (SMEs), as well as partners.  For SMEs, it’s about driving productivity and scaling growth with fewer resources. For partners, it’s about delivering tailored, AI-powered solutions faster and creating new value for customers in the process.   Agentic AI is more than a concept, it is the engine of the next generation of business. 🚀 Sharing BigQuery's Momentum: 5X Customers, Unified AI & Data, and What's Next! It was a pleasure to sit down with Savannah Peterson and David Vellante on SiliconANGLE & theCUBE at Google Cloud Next recently! ✨ We had a fantastic discussion diving into the incredible scale and innovation happening with our data platform, BigQuery. I was excited to share some key updates reflecting the momentum we're seeing: ✅ 𝟱𝗫 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗖𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗿𝘀: For the first time, we shared that BigQuery now serves 5 times the number of customers compared to key competitors in the data warehouse/AI platform space – a testament to the trust and value customers are finding. ✅ 𝗠𝗶𝗴𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗦𝘂𝗿𝗴𝗲: We've seen a 300% increase in the use of our migration services over the past year as organizations increasingly choose Google Cloud to modernize their data estates and leverage our AI capabilities. ✅ 𝗠𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗗𝗮𝘁𝗮 𝗚𝗿𝗼𝘄𝘁𝗵: We're now managing exabytes of data, with a 30% increase in volume over the last year, reflecting the significant workloads customers are running and trusting us with. We also dove into the crucial shift towards truly unifying data and AI 🧠 – bringing AI to the data foundation, not just bolting it on. I explained how our new Autonomous Data Foundation capabilities, powered by agentic AI, are automating complex tasks. At Zoominfo, we have been successfully using GitHub Copilot and other GenAI tools for improving developer productivity. We have now written up the details of our experience with GitHub Copilot from its evaluation to rollout to the latest data in a paper published at https://lnkd.in/gghMktxj . The paper also has a fairly comprehensive related work section. The paper should be useful to those who want to adopt GitHub Copilot or similar tools or who want to compare notes on the usage.
